Referred by front desk clerk at Candlewood Suites. Not disappointed AT ALL! Got a to-go order. While waiting I had chips & salsa with a margarita. Was hoping my order would be as good as what I had in the restaurant. It was great and everything I ordered was there. YUM! YUM!

Stopped there for lunch during a crazy busy day of car shopping on the Skyland Auto Mike strip... Service was fast. Prices were reasonable. Food was delicious. Portions were huge! I ordered beef but my vegetarian daughter found many non-meat options and was delighted since it is difficult to find vegetarian food in Tuscaloosa. We will Stop here again!

This was our first visit to Tarascos. Family members who live in Tuscaloosa recommended this restaurant and specifically any of the Mexican shrimp dishes. The six of us all ordered various shrimp dishes the night we were there, and they all were outstanding. Each particular dish was excellent but the shrimp in each made it even better. From shrimp tacos,... More

We were in Tuscaloosa for a vacation and stopped in here to eat for dinner. This is your typical Mexican place with fast service and good food. I had a shrimp chimichanga and it was amazing! Everyone in our family enjoyed their meals.

We visited on a sunday after coming from Montgomery. We had not eaten since lunch after worship services on Sunday morning. My wife and I was still in nice dress clothes. We sat at a table. Well the table side were rough. It tore my wife's nice silk top toward her stomach. She said something to them at check out... More

This is a pretty decent Mexican restaurant. A number of my friends think it the best in town. They are willing to drive a fair distance past numerous other Tex-Mex places to eat there. It has never knocked me out that much, but it may you. The service is prompt, the atmosphere acceptable, and the food better than average. Give... More

Ok it looks sketchy and is attached to a thrift store, but do go inside! This is the best Mexican food in town and I am never disappointed. The queso is great and I always get the quesadilla torascos.

Camping and treated ourselves to dinner out. Was not disappointed. Had enchiladas, fajitas, tacos and buritto.

This place is a little hidden gem. It never fails to please. Servers are always "johnny on the spot." Food may not be fancy, but there is something to be said for doing the basics right.

The restaurant is large so even when there was a wait it wasn't very long. We had a seat at the bar and ordered a couple drinks before being seated. The server gave me the wrong type of beer, but quickly fixed it and apologized when I questioned why the modelo was so light. The portions were large and filling... More
