I can remember a time when getting a table at Cypress on a Sunday was impossible. Today our party of eight was sat within in 20 minutes, after that it all went downhill. First of all today was a birthday luncheon for my mother-in-law. We spent the first 15 minutes wondering where our drinks were, then spent the next 15... More

The selection of happy hour food and drinks is outstanding. I have been on several occasions, and the service is hit or miss which is a little bit frustrating. Will still be visiting for the absolutely amazing bread, muffins, and fried pickles!

The dessert that I had was divine and the service was great. The view of the river at night was delightful. And the fish tank was fun to look at.

The food here is amazing. From the bread to the dessert, nothing was less than wonderful. I had the shrimp and grits as my main course and it was the best I have ever had. I would definitely recommend this place for a nice meal in Tuscaloosa.

I have been eating at CI since the 1980s. It is always consistantly good. The service is excellent and the food is fresh. The atmoshere and scenery out the window overlooking the Black Warrior River is icing on the cake. The only time I don't recommend is any University of Alabama football weekend or graduation weekends due to the wait... More

A wonderful little restaurant set on the banks of the river. Can set and watch the river go by. Great atmosphere. Has great food and the greatest service. Had a very enjoyable evening and will defiantly go back.

After church we drove a scenic drive along the Black Warrior River - first along the south side and then back along the north side. We had a planned stop on the north side of the river - for lunch at the Cypress Inn (another suggestion from our older son who lived briefly in Tuscaloosa about twelve years ago). Its... More

Really enjoyed this restaurant. The view was beautiful and the food was wonderful. We had a group of 7 and everyone enjoyed their food. I wish I had gotten the waitress' name but, I do remember she said she was getting married soon and she was dark haired. I hope she reads this. She did a wonderful job and was... More
