Had dinner here. The amberjack fish was excellent. Good beer selection and wait staff. A bit of a noisy place but overall good experience.
Took my daughter to the Cypress Inn for a birthday dinner. It was just the two of us and I had made reservations well in advance. Food was good, service was good, and quick. I would make a reservation because they are very busy and some had long waits. A little pricey for the menu, and since it was dark... More
I attended a dinner meeting here and found the restaurant and excellent destination. While the view was limited by darkness it seemed that a daytime trip would be worthwhile just for the view. We sampled several dishes and appetizers during our dinner. My favorites were the Appetizer Sampler Platter for four (fish, chicken, calimari, shrimp, and fried pickles) and the... More
Always a nice meal!! Good service and the food always comes out fresh and hot. Nice adult beverage selection and the muffins are to die for!
Cypress Inn has been a Tuscaloosa staple for many years. But that's not saying much. Food is on par with the likes of a Morrison's Cafeteria, although the latter is more varied. Make no mistake ... this restaurant is popular if for nothing else its terrific view on the Black Warrior river. But take away the river and what is... More
Both food and service were excellent and enjoyed with a great view of the river. Maybe not as good as in Maryland, but the crab cakes were quite good with lots of obviously fresh crab meat.
My husband and i were traveling from Jacksonville, FL to Starkville, MS. Based on reviews on TripAdvisor and Yelp, we decided to stop in Tuscaloosa, AL for lunch at The Cypress Inn. It is located off Highway 82 West and a little off the beaten path, but well worth the trouble. It is a very attractive restaurant with a rustic... More
Visited recently for lunch with my son. It was a relatively quiet day at the restaurant and we were seated by the window with a beautiful river view. Service was prompt and friendly. The menu is varied and extensive, we both had catfish and it was delicious. The salad was also very fresh and a long list of dressings were... More
We had a wonderful dining experience at Cypress Inn! The evening we went was perfect for sitting on the deck overlooking the river. The service was excellent as was the food. I highly recommend the shrimp & grits. Prices were extremely reasonable. The atmosphere was great for a family, business dinner, or a romantic dinner. I will definitely go back... More
The food here was just average. We had calamari and spinach dip for starters. In both cases we have had better. Our entrees included Mahi Mahi and roast beef. The beef was O.K. A bit fatty. The Mahi Mahi had no taste. The side dishes were plentiful and pretty good. Very southern. Our server was excellent.
