We've been to Tuscaloosa 4 years in a row and finally visited Cypress Inn. Matter of fact once by ourselves and second time with friends. Both visits were good. Service at both visits were excellent, our very first visit we had great view right next to windows. I had the fish specials both times and both were ok, husband had... More

I chose the shrimp and grits, because I felt like indulging a little bit. It was heavenly! Fresh shrimp and gouda cheese grits get an A++++ The restaurant has a beautiful river view, so get a window seat if you can. Friendly, attentive service too.

This used to be my go to restaurant. You could usually count on a good meal every time. The past three times I have been I have been really disappointed. The menu has changed and you can tell that the attention to details in the kitchen has also. The delicate sauces that used to accompany seafood have been replaced by... More

You cannot go wrong with the bbque chicken in white sauce and fried green tomatoes. The food mind service are excellent, and the view of the river is lovely.

When I want an excellent meal I go to Cypress Inn. Every entree I have tried is good. Fried shrimp. oysters, catfish melt in your mouth. The steaks are tender and good. The gumbo is excellent, some of the best I have ever had. Fried green tomatoes and chicken with white bar b cue sauce are excellent.

I was deceived by the ambiance initially but once inside the dining room, the view was reason enough to be pleased with our decision to eat here. Truly one of the best meals I have had in a long time - and I am very difficult to please. Try the slow roasted prime rib and the country club squash. We... More

A lovely evening ambience. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. Oddly, they wouldn't accept a reservation until 730, but said come on by and we might get in early, and we not only got right in, but had a river view table. Lovely!

3 small pieces of catfish- it was very tasty though- roasted chicken was good-- salad was weak, casserole was good. Over $50 for a lunch for 3--- just not worth this kind of money. The view is spectacular- service was not good, very slow, we were there 10 plus minutes before anyone came to our table. Will go back at... More
