3 small pieces of catfish- it was very tasty though- roasted chicken was good-- salad was weak, casserole was good. Over $50 for a lunch for 3--- just not worth this kind of money. The view is spectacular- service was not good, very slow, we were there 10 plus minutes before anyone came to our table. Will go back at... More

Food is really good. Atmosphere is also good and with great views of the river and river walk of Tuscaloosa. Is a little loud. Wait staff is excellent and seem to care about your food and service. Really busy so best time is during mid-afternoon or late in the evening.

Try the smoked chicken with white BBQ sauce. The sides and desserts are all wonderful, too. Can be crowded and noisy on weekends.

Cypress inn has the best catfish ever! You have to try their Country Club Squash also it is just squash casserole but it is yummy! I have had several things from there and have not had a bad meal yet!

This is one of our favorite places to go to enjoy a wonderful meal. Location right on the river allows for a beautiful setting for coulpes or families. The fish is my favorite, along with the Fried Green Tomatoes and bread pudding. A must for Tuscaloosa diners to go to.

This is our "go to" restaurant when we want a great meal, want a relaxing evening, are treating out of town friends to dinner, or celebrating. I love the fried green tomatoes, smoked chicken with white barbeque sauce and cheese grits! Lots of wonderful desserts but the bread pudding is my favorite. I enjoy sitting in the bar for dinner... The food was very good. My co-workers loved the fish, I had the chicken with white bbq sauce and really liked it. They had a good selection of local microbrews on tap, I enjoyed the local apricot beer. The service was great, as well as the starter basket of muffins and bread. We had a nice view over the river.... More

We went for Happy Hour and had delicious appetizers and reasonably priced wine, beer and cocktails. We shared the smoked chicken with white bbque sauce, fried green tomatoes and spinach artichoke dip. All very yummy served by a very friendly and efficient staff. We timed it for sunset over the river and it was so beautiful!

The Cypress Inn is a Tuscaloosa staple. It is located on prime real estate next to the Black Warrior River. They recently added a pavilion next door to the restaurant that is used to host various functions. A beautiful walk way connects the two structures. Sitting in the bar area offers prime viewing of sunsets on the river. The food... More
