Good brunch

Local favorite. Small town restaraunt with great breakfast. Hard to find and harder to park. But worth it once you get in.

The Waysider is an Iconic restaurant in Tuscaloosa. They serve both lunch and breakfast, but their breakfast is what they do best. Eggs are cooked just like you want. pancakes are delicious and the coffee hot and plentiful. However, the best in my opinion is their biscuits especially when they are served with country ham.

I was looking for some breakfast in town. I wanted a local place not a Waffle House. I came across some great reviews for Waysider and stopped in. The place is this red house looking building. Inside there's tons of Bama memorabilia and it feels like you're in your grandma's house (which is a good thing.) I ordered pancakes. They... More

Nice, quaint old small house, customers pack in and do not mind the wait outside. Has plenty of University of Alabama culture and patrons. Great breakfast.

Always packed so plan on a wait but it's well worth it. I can't recommend anything because everything is great

Went in on a game day morning for breakfast. Friendly staff and fellow customers. Waited 30-40 minutes for a table, but given the popularity of the place, the waiting time was acceptable. The restaurant is very small, even include the kitchen it's about the size of a one bedroom apartment. It's very crowded inside. Our waitress was very nice and... More

If you are in Tuscaloosa then you HAVE to go to the Waysider. It was a great start to game day, with delicious food and covered in Alabama football items. The waitresses even heckled some Tennessee fans eating breakfast there! All in good fun. If you want a good hearty breakfast, then the Waysider is definitely the number 1 pick.

No frills, just really good BBQ. Tried the chicken and the ribs--both amazing. Friendly, efficient staff dedicated to churning out great product to customers that are bound to be happy about their BBQ. Tuscaloosa is a nice town with fantastic food.

Waysider has been a breakfast tradition for many years in Tuscaloosa, and is probably one of the oldest restaurants still around. The biscuits are what people come for, they're homemade and absolutely delicious. They've started serving beignets from the extra biscuit dough as well. The hashbrowns are my family's favorite and the food is cheap, but oh so good. It... More
