One of our favorites.

Always great food and great service! The variety is nice and the food is fresh. I like the atmosphere. This is someplace I would frequent for dinner when in town.

We ate dinner here last night with two other couples. I had the shrimp dish and it really was delicious. The portion size was just right. My wife had the duck and while she enjoyed it, she was expecting a duck breast, not a thigh. The lighting in the restaurant is multiple chandeliers, which is unusual but neat. The disco... More

Interestingly enough, there are just 5 choices for dinner, plus a special of the night and the choices change periodically. The food was delicious and my sole complaint is that they are open for lunch only on Fridays during the week as I find myself wanting to return more often.

There are only 5 choices, well actually 6 counting the special of the night, and we tried 3 of them. All were good, none were outstanding especially considering the prices. We did enjoy our meal, but thought it was a bit pricey for this type of casual restaurant.

We had a great visit entertaining 6 guests for lunch. The food here is great. Everyone enjoyed the smoked tuna dip and the fried pickles. I discovered a new taste the tuna dip on a fried pickle. Red beans and rice were really good and everyone enjoyed the paneed chicken. Great service. Great experience. We need to try the Birmingham... More

Went to Five Bar for the first time on a business trip. Very impressed! The food was fabulous for each of us! We tried several of the appetizers- the Smoked Tuna was fabulous! Our entrees were served promptly... Mine was the Paneed Chicken and it was delicious! They seated 5 of us at a table for 4, so it was... More

The atmosphere is really eccentric. The food was good but not worth the price. Waitress didn't care that coffee came out cold. $3.50 for cold coffee and she didn't offer to correct? Disappointed this time but beautiful restaurant.

There are only 5 drinks, 5 entrees, etc. I was brave and had a gin and tonic with cucumber and I was not a fan. The hamburger wasn't especially impressive either. Overall, I may give it another try, but will be more particular in what I order off the limited menu.

Five Bar offers five options at every meal, rather than having a full menu. Sunday brunch choices included chicken and waffles, breakfast burrito, and crab cakes. Mimosa and a full Bloody Mary bar were also available. Word of warning for those from out of town: Tuscaloosa doesn't pour alcohol until noon on Sundays, so if you like drinks with your... More

We have eaten there several times on Crimson Tide game days. The Uptown Chicken is a winner. This appetizer is server over a crispy slaw; the chicken is in chunks and is coated with a delicious sauce and sprinkled with sesame seeds. My companion loves the Paneed Chicken and orders it every time. I usually get the gumbo with shrimp.... More
