Our "Go To" Meat and 3

We've have been eating at Joel's for many years. The people are friendly and the food is consistently good. I love their fried chicken and their greens. If you are ever there when they have the banana split pie, you have to try it...AWESOME! Picked up takeout today, and it was excellent. This is... read more

Weekdays usually quick service through food line. Excellent, polite workers and servers. Good variety and well cooked Southern food.

Southern home cooking on steroids. That best describes their food. Menu of about a dozen entrees and 20 sides. Homemade Mexican cornbread and great iced tea included for $10. Go through line and seat yourself. Get ready for a wonderful experience. I hope your Mom cooked this well. Only open from 11 to 2.

If your looking for a meat and 3, this place is for you! Get ready for some grandma cooking! Yummy!!! Fried chicken is so good, they even sell the special spice they use on it! Also offers a blue plate special.

They seem to be only open on the weekend. We ate on Sunday after church. They have a steam table and you go through it cafeteria style. It is the standard "southern cooking style" -- "nothing to write home about" but a place where you can get a decent meal for a reasonable price -- when they are open which... More

Yes, these folks know what Southern cooking would be -- fresh veggies, fried chicken, meat loaf & the list goes on & on. Oh, yes, I can't forget to mention the homemade desserts !

This is one of those places that is going extinct. A true cafeteria style restaurant. I have eaten there several times, and it is always a very good, comfortable, friendly experience. The meat and three is always a good choice, and not much more expensive than greasy, fast food. There is always a good selection, and it is always tasty,... More

Mom and Pop, Joel and Peggy never leave while open. 11 Am to 2 PM Sunday to Friday closed Saturday. Joel cooks fresh veggies and entries. Fried chicken , meatloaf, baked fish all just right. How bout that signature Blueberry Delight Pie , Strawberry Shortcake, and seven other homemade deserts just as great. Cornbread is good enough to be a... More

I've driven past this place about a hundred times and never thought to stop. Thought it would kind of be a hole in the wall.. well I shouldn't have judged a book by its cover! It was awesome. People weren't as friendly as I thought they would be in such a small home cooking type place (with the exception of... More

We dropped by for a late lunch and found the place quite busy. Several options were available - four vegetables, meat and two, meat and three, etc. The vegetables were tasty, but the fried chicken was very salty and somewhat dry. The baked chicken was ok, but somewhat dry also. Service was friendly, and they allowed us to swap out... More
