Good Food Made Gloomy Sunset Look Good

Good food and good service made a gloomy sunset look good. Ed's usually has a spectacular sunset which was not the case on a rainy day. The "It ain't yo momma' splatter" and good service made it nice anyway. The platter is a large seafood platter for two with all the fixins and dessert. Large... read more

We went to Ed's for my wife's birthday and for their 'Mullet Monday' special all you can eat fried mullet after 4pm. The food was typical for fried seafood on the causeway. My wife enjoyed her grilled shrimp because they dont come drowning in butter and my daughter devoured her crab claws, though i wish they had a kids menu... More

Our youngest son's favorite seafood place and for a good reason! Always excellent service and food. A plus is the extraordinary view of Mobile Bay and spectacular sunsets! A must visit!

Stopped for lunch and my grilled scallop platter was delicious. Service was friendly and fast. Lunch price was not bad.

I visited Ed's just recently while on a trip to the Mobile area with several friends while on a history tour. Ed's is nicely located on Hwy 90 just a few min. down from the USS Alabama Battleship Park. The parking lot was full, so we thought there might be a long wait, but they seated our party of 7... Came down the road seeking a table with a shorter than 90 minute wait & we were well rewarded. Had the seafood gumbo - great flavor, to start. Our friend had the oysters - we watched them being shucked. Fried shrimp platters came with crispy hushpuppies and choice of side. My red bean & rice includes sliced sausage in a... More

We had a fantastic dinner here! Highly recommend! All seafood is grand and the red beans and rice, hush puppy's and Viidalia onion rings are delicious!

The calamari was really good, but the crab claws were pretty mediocre. I had the fried oysters and they were some of the best I'd ever had. My boyfriend had the flounder and he said it was great! Really good restaurant and right on the Bay!

Only in the area for a couple days and wanted waterfront seafood. Searched Trip Advisor and found Ed's. Simple waterfront deck with a wonderful waitress and magnificent food. Gumbo, crab chowder, whitefish with a crawfish cream sauce. Planning to stop again during our short stay.
