Good Food Made Gloomy Sunset Look Good

Good food and good service made a gloomy sunset look good. Ed's usually has a spectacular sunset which was not the case on a rainy day. The "It ain't yo momma' splatter" and good service made it nice anyway. The platter is a large seafood platter for two with all the fixins and dessert. Large... read more

My sister hosted a birthday party. The food was great and the waiter was wonderful. Upon leaving, I fell at the bottom of the steps. The waitress at the front desk was helpful, offer assistance but the manager came out and assessed the scene and politely ask if we could move and allow other customers to enter the stairs and... We enjoyed our dinners. The shrimp was very tasty, my husband enjoyed the oysters and everything was really good.

One had the nightly special which was Mahi and it was overcooked and very dry. Would not recommend. One had the platter-- catfish and shrimp were excellent but oysters were weak. For the prices made will pass going back in future.

You can't beat Ed's for a terrific seafood meal accompanied with one of the best sunset views along the Gulf coast. Looking out toward Mobile from the causeway, the sun sets on the bay. It is spectacular. This time we tried the mullet which was on special on Mondays. This white fish was slightly chewy, had a great flavor and... More

We went to Ed's for my wife's birthday and for their 'Mullet Monday' special all you can eat fried mullet after 4pm. The food was typical for fried seafood on the causeway. My wife enjoyed her grilled shrimp because they dont come drowning in butter and my daughter devoured her crab claws, though i wish they had a kids menu... More

I visited Ed's just recently while on a trip to the Mobile area with several friends while on a history tour. Ed's is nicely located on Hwy 90 just a few min. down from the USS Alabama Battleship Park. The parking lot was full, so we thought there might be a long wait, but they seated our party of 7...
