I knew this place was no frills when I walked in, but it was just plain awful. Go to the Oyster House across the street. Your money is better spent there. I was visiting the area with my boyfriend and his parents, all of them from Fairhope, and went along with the crowd when they said they wanted to come... More

If you're from the south and grandma fried okra or cooked greens or green beans with bacon, you'll feel right at home. The fried okra appetizer was the best I've had at a restaurant. I tried the soft shell po'boy...and it was delicious with the spicy honey mustard sauce. Their menu provided several options, and they also had a few... More

Went to supper here and sat outside - nice breeze and very comfortable seating. Had read about the Yo Mamma platter so got two for four people - lot of food and very tasty! Oysters weren't too good but the rest was very tasty and desert was perfect! Only complaint was they brought the side dishes out first way before... More

We have been eating at Ed's for years and I can not ever remember being disappointed. I have always had great service and really good food. Recently I had a business lunch and we met @ Ed's. We All chose the special: Grilled Whole Flounder & rice. The Flounder was cooked perfectly and fell off the bone. The fish was... More

We ate on the deck at an umbrella picnic table...lots of room and a nice cool breeze for early summer. Soft shell crabs, fried shrimp and great sides filled us up comfortably. The staff were great and kept the drinks coming...one of our new favorite places!

We were a party of 10 and just happened upon Ed's while attempting to turn around on Battleship Parkway. The staff quickly seated us and we were treated to a fantastic meal. There was an outdoor venue...complete with music and the coldest beer anywhere. Go early and watch the sunset over Mobile Bay. You cannot go wrong at Ed's!!!

The food was fresh, but lacked seasoning. All was cooked well, just lacked in the "taste" category. It definately was not the worst food I've had, but nothing really special. The garlic cheese grits were really good, as were the turnip greens.

This is a good restaurant on the causeway nestled between Mobile and Spanish Fort and is popular with the locals. Run by local family, they attract repeat business with good food for a decent price. The service is always good and they are happy to have you there. I'm guilty of always ordering fried shrimp and can recommend it highly.

Seafood was great, so was the view. Very kid friendly, reasonable prices, good service. The outdoor dining is great.
