Skip Felix and go to Ed's

My wife and I eat at Felix's when we are on our way to Destin, Fl, but this time Felix's required a 1.5 hour wait on a Saturday at lunch. Instead we stopped at Ed's and were not disappointed. It is a smaller restaurant but the menu contains many seafood options, at less price. We will eat here... read more

Thiss restaurtant is always on my list of places to eat when we are in Mobile. It is a bit of a drive out, but well worth it. They have great cole slaw. My brother-in-law says they have the best seafood gumbo he has ever had. Our shrimp was lightly breaded and fried (with tails on) and absolutely awesome. They... More

Ed's is a great local seafood place. Good food and plentiful portions as IT SHOULD BE. Its casual and if the weather permits go outside and eat. Alligators swimming by and all types of water fowl around. We eat here many times a year and have for years. Its all good... If you brave are have a few folks with... More

We went for lunch. The lunch menu was good and had a good variety of choices. We decided on the yo mommas platter. All the seafood and sides were delicious. The cake was dry. We split this food between 2 adults and one child and it was plenty. We would return. There are some other interesting things on the menu... More

We discovered Ed's about 4 years ago. We always stop in for dinner when we are visiting Mobile. Tonight we had a great meal as always!!! Oysters on half shell were fresh, clean, and great sizes. Boiled shrimp were good too! The Ahi tuna was succulent! Ed's is always consistent with good service, good food, and economical pricing!

This is a place you might just drive by and not think much of it but do yourself a favor and stop for some great food. I've eaten here several times. It is located on Mobile Bay on the Causeway. The food is great. I've had the fried Okra, Red Beans and Rice, salads, Shrimp and fish sandwich. The complimentary... More

My wife and I are locals. We've been going to Ed's since it opened, and there was a time when I would have said it was my favorite seafood restaurant in town, but over the years it has really gone downhill. We visited this past week for our anniversary and decided to split the famous "Yo Mama's Platter", which we... More

My sister hosted a birthday party. The food was great and the waiter was wonderful. Upon leaving, I fell at the bottom of the steps. The waitress at the front desk was helpful, offer assistance but the manager came out and assessed the scene and politely ask if we could move and allow other customers to enter the stairs and... We enjoyed our dinners. The shrimp was very tasty, my husband enjoyed the oysters and everything was really good.
