Good, fresh food

Came down the road seeking a table with a shorter than 90 minute wait & we were well rewarded. Had the seafood gumbo - great flavor, to start. Our friend had the oysters - we watched them being shucked. Fried shrimp platters came with crispy hushpuppies and choice of side. My red bean & rice... read more

We had a fantastic dinner here! Highly recommend! All seafood is grand and the red beans and rice, hush puppy's and Viidalia onion rings are delicious!

The calamari was really good, but the crab claws were pretty mediocre. I had the fried oysters and they were some of the best I'd ever had. My boyfriend had the flounder and he said it was great! Really good restaurant and right on the Bay!

Only in the area for a couple days and wanted waterfront seafood. Searched Trip Advisor and found Ed's. Simple waterfront deck with a wonderful waitress and magnificent food. Gumbo, crab chowder, whitefish with a crawfish cream sauce. Planning to stop again during our short stay.

We went with my daughter and son-in --law and they talked about the plate of seafood called ( slap your mama ) because it's so good and you can feed two people and have some left over maybe!! I like their menu and the dishes they offer it's casual seafood eating with family and kids!! They have a great salad... More

Stopped for early dinner. Raw oysters (Bon Secour LA) were delicious market price. Gumbo was full of seafood, roux was thin. Red beans and rice was juicy like I like it. Not too spicy that you can't eat it. Great service.

Unlike Felix's down the road, Ed's takes pains to create a homey atmosphere. Nothing pretentious here. Basic tablecloths on simple tables but still the same stunning vista of Mobile Bay. The food is more straight-forward as well. All meals begin with complimentary cole slaw--the best I've ever had. The entrees are certainly seafood oriented but still simpler fare. Po boys,... More

We came here when passing through Mobile because it was recommended by by a local. The place sits out over the water, giving you good view of the bay. A few notches above a shack, the worn and very informal setting was just fine with us. We had a window seat and enjoyed the view. My wife had the lunch... More

Eaten here on several occasions, each time is always same quality of food and service. A very good value for the dollar spent here in this restaurant. There are several great restaurants in this area which I also visit. Of the two or three restaurants in the area I eat at and I would rate this in the top three... More
