Yum!

We had peel and eat shrimp. The shrimp was a little overdone. The fried shrimp was excellent, oysters were excellent , and the yellowfin tuna was very good. Our waitress Demi was awesome plus all the other staff members. Oh yes and the Pina Coladas you have to have :-)

First time having grilled oysters - and they were good, but table companion's appeared to have retained more juice. I prefer raw oysters and wanted to give this a try and it was "okay" but next time I'll go for the raw. Wait is long and they could help with this by taking the cruise ship approach to seating people... More

Walked in on Friday night to a huge crowd but the bar was open. We sat down for a drink and the bartender convinced us to stay and eat there. So we did. We had wine and beer with appetizers of grilled oysters and fried crab claws. For our entrees we ordered grilled shrimp and grilled tuna. Everything was excellent.... More

I’m kind of ambivalent toward this place. I’ve been several times, and it’s usually overcrowded and this time was no exception. A bus load of tourists got there just before we did. It seems we got the one table in the place that was up against the wall and had absolutely no window anywhere near to see. To me, the... More

A great location, close to the beach, with diversionary shopping while you wait for your table, this restaurant serves terrific food. What more could you ask for? We went on a busy Monday night. There was a brief wait, again, no big deal. It is Spring Break. We were seated and a beverage order was taken quickly and just as... More

Our family stopped at this restaurant before going to the Battleship Park. We tried the grilled oysters and they were delicious. Had the alligator bites , fried oysters, shrimp and the salad bar. Enjoyed everything! My regret is that we were too full to try the key lime pie. Oh well that is for next time!

Left the Kitchen on George Restaurant severely disappointed and still hungry, opted for the Original Oyster House after this was recommended by a local. Saved the night! Comfortable, friendly, good food--finally! Had baked oysters that were amazing! Should have gone here to begin with...

We unfortunately went on a bitterly cold, windy evening so we couldn't enjoy the outside, but we certainly enjoyed the food inside. Our server, Margaret, was absolutely delightful, displaying southern hospitality at its finest. We started with gumbo and flame-grilled oysters, then had the Crabcake stack that was atop perfectly fried green tomatoes. Crabcake entree came with an incredible sauce... More

We had dinner on a Saturday night and had a great time. There was an hour 20 minute wait when we got there about 8 pm so we went to the bar for a drink. The bartender suggested we grab 2 seats at the bar which had just opened up. We normally don't eat at the bar but certainly are... More
