Still good even over the years.

We have been here twice over the past 6-7 years, and visited again yesterday. It was just as we remembered. Large selections from the menu, good size portions, and of course always fresh. Loved the view from the dinning room. Melody was great! (Our server) She handled our party of 10 with ease and... read more

He grilled oysters are a must have! Our server Curt was knowledgeable and friendly. I wouldn't suggest a better place to stop if you're on a road trip east. Great service!!

Always good food when I've been here. For those that complain about everything fried. When you go to a seafood restaurant in the south you can ask for broiled... And there's not much better than a stuffed broiled flounder!

They were recommended to me by a friend who used to live in the area. We really enjoyed our meal there. The menu had a nice variety. My only complaint might be that the salad bar looked a little sad for the price ($2.99 to substitute it for a side, $7.99 as a meal). I ended up getting the coleslaw... More

We are locals and I'm sad to say that I feel the food quality has gone down at this place. There were 10 of us and all agreed that nothing was that good or fresh. I'm hoping it was just an off night, but not sure if I'll give it another try any time soon.

Menu has good variety, atmosphere is very casual. Arrived just before 6pm and didn't have to wait long (other area restaurant had already indicated we would have to wait an hour to be seated) . Waiter (Dusty) was attentive and helpful. Food quality was great. I picked a combination platter where I was able to select which two entree items... More

I had the fish tacos and they were huge. So good. The salad bar was good. I was seated next to the open grill. It was neat but hot.

Loved the grilled oysters! Also had stuffed Shrimp! Very good! Very crowded, best to go early, like 6 pm! Playground area below restaurant makes the wait easier if you have kids!

I eat at the Original Oyster House whenever I visit my family in Fairhope, Alabama. For this visit my wife and I took my mother there for lunch. My wife is an oyster fan so we tried a new speciality of the house, Fire-Grilled Oysters. These are fresh oysters, grilled on the half-shell with a garlic butter and Romano cheese.... More

We ate here while traveling to Gulf Shores. Great service, excellent food and fun atmosphere. Views overlooking the water. Shrimp and Grits were so good!!! Largest raw oysters I have ever seen! Good salad bar as well. Husband had one of the sampler/create your own combos and said everything on his was wonderful too. Fried green tomatoes and crawfish tails...excellent!... More
