One of the best steaks I have eaten in awhile. Service was good and staff was friendly. The only problem was the bathroom smelled like a port-a-potty. The bathroom is the only complaint I have of this place. May have just been a bad day for staff?

I see TripAdvisor rates a bbq place as #1, but I suspect that rating is skewed by the votes from the many folks in a hurry passing through town. Tally Ho is more of a quiet sit-down place with excellent steaks and very attentive service. We had drinks (excellent pour!) and wine before steak and an excellent pork chop. Plan... More

The real reason we went here was the historic building. We lucked out --- We had great food and wonderful service!

The bread was warm on the outside but still very cold on the inside, even the second time after we complained. The fish was very good.

Great family restaurant with all the amenities of an upscale eatery. Great steaks and spirits! The service is second to none and the zucchini muffins are a wonderful side treat!

We enjoyed our dining experience at the Tally Ho recently--but we usually do. We went on a busy weekend evening and although the staff was extremely busy they were gracious and efficient. Our drinks were cold and refilled regularly. Appetizer (escargot) and salads were tasty, especially the "house" salad dressing. Both of our dinners were very good. Husband had a... More

While in Selma for the first time (business trip) I referred to tripadvisor for a good restaurant for dinner and determined to give “Tally Ho” a try... First the positives; I was greeted promptly when I walked through the door, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the decor was pleasant enough. I was taken to a table and seated... More

We ate dinner here on a stop over on our way to Florida, based on the reviews at Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed with the either the food, wine, service or physical structure. The service is definitely excellent. While dining I found out the building was built in 1942--a lot of history occured here in 70+ years. Some reviews... More

On the outside, the brick restaurant fits nicely with the surrounding neighborhood. Inside, the log cabin look will transport you to a different time and place. It is modeled after the old English taverns of the 18th century. The menu selections come close to the same period with American style beef, chicken and seafood entrees. The service is outstanding as... More
