surprisingly good

My wife and I went here for a somewhat rushed dinner and the place was crowded but efficient and service was good and attentive. I had a bar-b-que platter with multiple types of BBQ including pulled pork sausage chicken and brisket which by the way was the best brisket I've ever had. My wife had a... read more

My sisters, my daughter and I met in Decatur, AL today for our monthly day out and then drove another hour up to Scottsboro to see what Unclaimed Baggage was all about and, based on reviews found here, had lunch at 50 Taters' Scottsboro location. We were pleasantly surprised that the food met and exceeded the reviews. We decided to... More

I ate some chicken fingers that they had on special that day ... I could not eat them they were so bad... and terrible terrible service..

I had such high expectations after reading all the reviews. I ate the sweet potato fries there and ordered my sandwich to go so did not see it before I got home an hour later. The brisket sandwich was a disappointment. I'd been reading about how generous and stuffed the sandwiches were. This one was not. There wasn't even any... More

Myself, wife, and mother-in-law were recently in Scottsboro, Alabama. We decided to go out for dinner and chose 50 Tater (just upon the name, really). When you pull up on the place they list their daily specials on the window, the WHOLE window. We happened to go there on a Thursday night. The special that night is a 12 oz.... More

Eleven mothers/teen daughters ate here after our shopping trip to Unclaimed Baggage. Every single person in our group loved their meal. Wow...that never happens. I high recommend the sweet potato waffle fries with the carmel dip. You will think you died and went to heaven....lol. The manager served us....and was very gracious in giving us multiple tickets. We need this... More

Drove down from Chattanooga Sunday with 3 friends in my car club just to eat here...no other reason...drive over an hour just for lunch!!! I had the T-Bone steak with a salad, large one too, and green bean casserole. The steak had a wonderful flavor to it and it was large...all this for $12.99!!! I usually don't eat desert but... More

My wife and I stopped in before getting on the road to come home. We had lunch and it was pretty good. My brisket was tender, but did not have much flavor. It was also served with toast which I found odd. I also had the potato salad and the baked beans, both were pretty good. My wife had the... More

My and I are staying in Guntersville so we wanted to visit the surrounding cities. A nice gentleman we met at the RV park told us to try 50 Taters. I'm so glad we did! We ordered the Cuban sandwich and a large pork loaded potato to share. The sandwich was delicious and full of meat. Our potato was also... More
