We planned to have dinner at New Heights, but ended up having dinner at Mercato on F6 which was very nice and we were so glad that we made the last min. change. We had a few drinks at New Heights though. The drinks are good, and the view is even better. We stayed a few min. at the outdoor... More

First time I ate here was with business colleagues. The location in the Bund and the view of the Shanghai river and skyline is first rate. That is where the charm of the restuarant ends. The food on the first visit was about like TGI Friday's on a bad night. Edible, but nothing special. I decided at that point not... More

We had an excellent lunch at New Heights. It is a modern beautiful space, and the staff was nicely trained. The view is well worth the visit alone, but the food was great as well. Make a point to get the charcuterie, and let them choose a nice wine. This is a great spot!

New Heights is my favorite Bund restaurant, after living in Shanghai for 10 years. The feeling is comfortable not pretentious. Of course, the view is great. Dine on the balcony in the spring or autumn. A good business lunch meeting place. The value is excellent.

This place is a rip-off. Don't get fooled by their French menu, there are better options out there. Service was slow and sloppy, absolutely not witihin what you would expect in their pricerange.

Went there because I wanted to enjoy the river view. That's the main reason to visit the place. I found my lunch (goat cheese as a starter followed by beef mushed potatoes and vegetables) mediocrete. Service was professional. If you go for beef there are other places around. Staff I found are on different level of experience, the Chinese one... More

We arrived in Shanghai on 28 September 2014 and set about looking for a restaurant. My wife reviewed New Heights on Trip Advisor and we booked the restaurant that afternoon. We met David Steele who was so accommodating and friendly at the time we booked. We dined and David guided us to the bar to watch the fireworks. In addition... More

The restaurant has a nice few of the Pudong skyline. The food is alright. I was very tempted to order from the South East Asian dishes list. But I'm always skeptical that a western restaurant will know how to cook asian dishes (as a result of past experiences). So I ordered "Iceland red fish, pan fried calamari, vermicelli, tomato confit,... More

We dined here one beautiful evening in May. Fortunately, we were able to secure an outdoor table and I urge anyone dining at the restaurant to make that a requisite. The views are nothing short of spectacular. Truthfully, the food was almost irrelevant; they could have served us cardboard and we would have been delighted. The food, however, was very... More
