Found this place by a coincidence a friday evening - 6 people (3 children) and 2 of us wearing shorts - and we had an excellent evening with a high quality 3-course meal and good pizza to the kids! Especially the "foiegras" as a starter was excellent??? The service was very good and even though the total price of 3000... More

Had a seat by the window amazing views of Shanghai at night, all the colours of the rainbow. Service was excellent as was the food. We then went up to the rooftop bar, again stunning views over Shanghai. I would like to completement the chef and the staff on the excellent food and service.

First and foremost I enjoyed that restaurant because of the food, but also that people dressed up in there. I had scallops, red snapper and green apple ice cream. Everything was excellent and looked very pretty on plate :) they put a lot of effort into presentation ...

Saturday night outstanding dinner and service at the Escoffier dinner. The sort of service where water glasses were constantly refilled and more bread and rolls offered once eaten. The chef blends and fuses bitter with sweet, salty with tart, and various other taste sensations in your mouth. Kingfish sashimi - yum; foie gras with lychee & olive was mouthwatering; A... More

Small servings but delicious food. Jean Georges was worth every penny spent. The service was really good too and the view-spectacular.

Fantastic setting with a wonderful view of the Bund. Top notch cuisine well presented. The dinner service was a bit on the amateurish side. Overall a good experience. The french still are amazing!

The food, the view, the decor - superb but does it matter if you have to sit around waiting for the the waiters to wait. While ordering if you ask for the winelist it shouldn't take ten minutes for you to resume the ordering process. Where are the winelists hidden? In a vast vault in the basement? When dishes are... May, early Summer Shanghai, so think refreshing, crisp, acidic, crunch. Read on for the delivery of 9 course Seasonal Menu..... My better half chose the dependable Jean George Menu (see my review from last year). The Seasonal Menu is the star of this 10yr old French restaurant on the Bund. Great use of seasonal ingredients and not overly sophisticated ...... More

Service outstanding and attentive; very friendly and knowledgeable. Recommended a fab Chinese Chardonnay by the glass.......great a la carte brunch with crabcakes and the signature wagyu cheeseburger.....and not what I would call expensive....good value.

After 10 years living in Shanghai this remains one of our favourites. The quality of the food is exceptional, I can't recall having a single dish that I haven't thought was well prepared and very tasty. The prices are high and if you indulge in their extensive wine cellar expect to spend a small fortune, but as a special evening... More
