M on the Bund is located on the 6th floor of one of the old buildings on the Bund, but you really have to look for it when you want to go there: No big advertisement-signs on the roof, just a discrete little name sign just around the corner where the entrance is. It is worth wile looking for this... More

We were invited by a person who has been working in this city since 8 years. We were 5 people in total. The menu is very international, if you’re looking for some traditional local dishes you won’t find them. I ordered a goat cheese bruschetta which was very good with some grilled vegetables. Afterwards I had fish, which was well... More

I was a little apprehensive at first, western style restaurants in Shanghai are never quite right. M delivered on all fronts. Great wine list, great cocktails, menu was interesting but had something for everyone. The mains were very original and I wish I had the option of a tasting menu as one dish wasn't enough based on the tantalising options.... More

You can't beat the view. It is spectacular. The Bund to your feet on the left side of the terrrace and the stunning skyline of Pudong accross the harbor. This is what Shanghai is all about. The Restaurant knows that. The service is professional and prompt, perhaps a bit mechanical. There is a foreign Maitre D, however he doesn't seem... More

Location,Location, location. The decor is reasonably tasteful but I have to admit Resteraunt is quit small and crowded. However in warmer and not so cool winters they have a reasonably large open air terrace overlooking the bund which is impressive. I would rate the food average but it's worth a visit.

Not the more budget friendly restaurant, but worth the splurge. The Ottoman dumplings are to die for! So is the view.

After 2 good experiences took customers today to M on the Bund. Food was dissapointing. The steak was chewy and so bland that we returned it. Changed for Pork and was so intense/heavy that after couple spoons it git boring. Lamb was very good although not well seasoned and same was true for the Halibut. Seemed like the chef is... More

We first dined at M on the Bund when we lived in Shanghai a few years ago. The view never disappoints and the food is very good. Doesn't matter what you order it will be delicious and well presented. If in a large group we often ask to sit on the balcony under an umbrella is during the day and... More

Great location and view. We eat here every time we visit Shanghai. Brunch is great value. Dinner can get a bit pricey. But overall we love it. Do drop by Glamour Bar owned by the same people but is just one floor down for a drink if you do not wish to dine at M on the Bund.

M is a average restaurant, it is located in an expensive part of town and that is reflected VERY heavily in the pricing. The service is (usually) quite good, the owner is a very busy lady (X Aussie) and does a lot for charity, in a foreign country that is commendable. The pricing for service and quality is over the...
