Nice food, good wines and tasty desserts and even a candy bar. Seafood, indian food, sushis (not a lot though) and so much more. The ambiance is average and no view at all. Service is ok, but no more.

A buffet beyond anything I've ever experienced anywhere. The offerings were expertly, exquisitely prepared with exceptional attention to all the details. Phenomenal sushimi and sushi, excellent fresh salads, terrific regional entree offerings, decadent desserts (try the walnut ice cream for a must have treat). Service was impeccable, seemingly the wait staff were clairvoyant anticipating our every need. A comfortable, relaxing... More

I celebrated a friend's birthday recently at Yi Cafe. The Sunday buffet brunch is quite impressive, with many dishes to choose from - Japanese, Chinese, DimSum, Western, Indian, Lebanese, Thai, to name a few. There are also dessert stations with ice cream selections, fondue and array of cakes. In general, it's quite a wonderful experience. I only wish they had... More

I can't remember how many times I have visited this restaurant. Now the manager knows us although I don't remember his name and he certainly wouldn't remember ours - sure he recognizes us every time we visit because he seems to be there all the time. In 2011 or so I actually urged the company to book our annual dinner... More

The hotel is well located with Super Brand Mall and IFC next door. Great shopping and restaurants nearby. Talking about restaurant, Yi Cafe in the hotel is out of this world! The spread is endless....so many selections. Come prepared with an empty stomach! The room at River Wing is spacious and although we are on the 7th floor, the historical... More

This buffet was the most impressive I've ever seen. With food stations from around the world and endless options, you are sure to be impressed. The hotel and Yi Cafe is quite up-scale so make sure and dress appropriately, this means no blue jeans. Also in a great location to the Bund!

After everybody else swooned about the Café's buffet, the last reviewer before me trashes it. He or she must have been at a different place. Ok, he/she talks about dinner buffet. I have never tried that, but assume it is the same as the lunch buffet, and that is one of the best international buffets that I know. I have... More

After reading all these rave reviews I decided to stop by for dinner. This had to have been the absolute worst buffet I have ever eaten in my life. For the price (About 460 RMB with the service charge, about $75 US) I was expecting a Vegas quality buffet but what I got was worse than Home Town Buffet. Pros:... More

Ok, it's a buffet, but this has got to be the most amazing buffet display of world cuisine you have ever seen! From fresh cut sashimi, to salads tossed just for you, to Chinese, Indian, Middle Eastern, continental , even Mexican dishes, just an amazing display of impeccable presentation and flavors. This has got to be one of the most... More

The food quality. The wait staff. The value for money ratio. ALL winners. Yi Cafe is a place where we take visitors to Shanghai. In the 6-7 years we've gone there and taken people I can't think of one occasion where our guests weren't totally astonished at the sheer size of the buffet - it's EPIC! Then there are the... More
