Food good but no people

Took a set 6 corse menu which was good, there is a great view, semi well decorated. Were there a Sunday evening, only 6 more people in the whole restaurant ??? Food was good by chinese standards but nothing special.

Had a quick business lunch here - fast service. Great views of city, especially highrise Shanghai landmarks

Had to order several times and at the end some dishes didn't come. Food was average. Manager thew things when we complained. Had to call front desk, would not recommend.

Mediocre chefs, mediocre waiters. Expensive and pretentious. Some dishes never came even after we ordered them more than two times. Avoid this place!!

My husband and I went to Miyabi for a light dinner while staying at the Sheraton Hongkou. The restaurant is beautiful and the views are outstanding. It's very pricy, but we expected as much. The service was fine although there were only 2 other people in the whole restaurant when we were there. We ordered the maki rolls (soft crab... More

After getting excited in both English and Chinese, and standing on top of the teppinyaki chef, we FINALLY got some of our entrees. There was a terrible lack of management and obviously no system of service. Our host of our dinner party actually called down to the Sheratons front desk to demand the GM come up to help us. In... With no expectations we entered Miyabi resturant because we were staying in the hotel it is located in. WOW is all I can say. We were treated first class, great city views, great atmosphere and good service. I ate the set dinner and each dish was better then the next (a true feat) the manager was great as he checked... After a long day of being tourists, my boyfriend and I stopped here for dinner. We were seated almost immediately on a Thursday night. The miso soup was quite good. The box came out, and the addition of noodles to the usual foray of items was a good touch. The nigiri was nice and fresh, just like you would expect... More

Unable to comment on the food since we walked out before it arrived. There was no maitre'd to greet us, we needed to interrupt the staff from gossiping to get a table. They use a very old model tablet as the menu which didn't work properly. No vegeterian options, staff didn't understand enough English to order food. The chef had... More

I visited the restaurant yesterday for the first time with my wife because we both love Japanese Food and I read about it on the internet. It is located in Hongkou which was also for me a new area and something different to these restaurants at the Bund. The restaurant is very stylish and new with an wonderful view towards... More

Staying in Hongkou

Neighborhood Profile
Hongkou
History oozes out of every fiber of the city, but Hongkou is a particularly notable neighborhood. Shanghai was a safe haven for about 20,000 Jews during the Second World War, and traces of this heritage can still be found in buildings and park monuments. Historic foreign relations aside, this neighborhood throws you into traditional Shanghainese life without taking you too far away from the city center. Some of the city’s best-preserved, ancient longtangs (laneway communities) and shikumen (Shanghainese lanehouses) are still in use as actual residences here. If you like to be surrounded by local faces, Hongkou is a great area to spend your time in. The football stadium, Duolun Lu and the North Bund area await should you need some entertainment.
