Kaiba knows just what it wants to be. No pretense, no corporate fingerprints (looking at you Belgian Beer Cafe), no posh crowd, just a two page menu, fine-printed with beer. Good beer. Very good beer. And lots of it from around the world. At reasonable prices and poured into the right glasses. It is my standby to hang out with... More

Once you've found it :) A 5min walk north from the Subway-Station (Dapuqiao) you'll find a complex of multiple bars. Just look closely at the signs that say 'East Area' 'and Kaiba 2F'... You can sit both outside and inside. Staff is friendly. Not real Belgian (thick) fries but still quit tasty :) Enjoy!

There are plenty of restaurants in the around area, but once you have finished you food (with restaurants kitchens opened noo too late usually) it is a good idea to continue meeting with friends in this bar. Large selections of Belgian beers will keep you stay longer and enjoy friendly meeting. Outside terrace is nice, it is always better for... More

The Wuding Lu branch of this bar gets it just right every time. 15+ beers on tap, reasonable prices and a great atmosphere. The staff know a little more about the beers here than in the other branches, and they will let you have a small taste of anything on the tap for free. Always have great fun anytime we... More

We found this place which was reccomended to us, and decided as we were with friends to have an afternoon beer. They have a great menu with many different beers to choose from, the fruit beer was very good. Service was friendly and we enjoyed a few hours here before moving on for dinner. Dinner menu looked good, but we... More

I've been here on various occasions and it's by far, best to go here after office hours where there's a good buzz going on. They have a great selection of Belgian brews for you to choose from (dare you to try Rochefort). Good place for having beers with the guys.

Been to the Taikang Terrace branch (Jianguo Road) on a number of occasions which serves a very wide selection of Belgium beers. As stated by another reviewer, the staff are not at all knowledgeable about the beers but this is not a major disaster just means trying as many as possible and finding ones you like. Only eaten once here... More

As the review from Seattleflyer50 nicely covers the Kaibas, I'll just mention the obvious in that there are some very interesting craft beers on tap but you might also want to take a look at the bottles where you'll find some unusuals like Deus, Estrella Inedit etc. I did try the food and there are some very interesting dishes, many... There are three locations- check out the website: http://www.kaiba-beerbar.com/en/location.aspx All three locations offer extensive beer selections, the best in Shanghai that I have seen. Taps seem to rotate often, with seasonal specialty beers offered. The one on 479 Wu Ding Lu has the best selection- 20 drafts, mostly Belgian Beer. Opens at 4 pm during the week and 2 pm... More

Has a wide variety of Belgian beers. Worth it for that, though the drinks are very much overpriced. Come during happy hour.
