We had lunch here enroute to Pudong & the service was excellent. The staff try to understand what we want. This was the only restaurant we've been during our 4 day-trip that the staff were cheerful. Highly recommended especially to the discerning traveller!

This restaurant is legendary in Shanghai, for several reasons in addition to the excellent food quality. 1. The staff are extremely cheerful, and helpful, nothing is too much for them. 2. Although the restaurant is usually full, people enjoy the pleasures of the waiting area, snacks are provided to those waiting, also various games are played, ladies are offerred a... More

One of the best meals i have ever had. This has to be one of the best service you will ever experience in a trip to China. The staff are extremely courteous; the food is decent; there is even a CCTV to allow parents to survey their children while their children are at the playground. However, the staff are unable... Amazing spicy hotpot (we only took the spicy). I've had top ranked hotspots in chongqing and Chengdu and this was better than any of them. The service is amazingly friendly. I'll be back for sure

Hotpot is great and this place is a lot of fun. The noodle guy was better here than in Beijing. Our only problem was nobody spoke any english, but we were able to get another customer to help us order. Only the actual pots had pictures on the menu. Get the spicy pot with numbseeds!

I have finally been to Hai Di Lao after I heard many good recommendations about it. I always hesitated to go because I knew we couldn't make any reservation and the waiting time was very long. Indeed, we had to wait an hour to get a table, but they place you at a waiting table with games and appetizers. You... More

I love this place for service: clean shoes, manicure, live noodle show...but about raw material we really far from high end like many chinese restaurant in town ,that is big damage. If i go to eat in the restaurant i like to enjoy healthy and good ingredients not matter how much i going to pay cheap or expensive but that's never happen... More

Very good hotpot, with a great selection of sauces and condiments that you can get yourself and make your own concoctions. What's great about these restaurants is the service. When we sat down, they put any mobile phones we placed on the table into plastic bags. Those of us wearing eyeglasses were given glass wipes. When I placed my jacked... More

Had a great time here, authentic Szechuan style hot pot so I'm told. I resisted the temptation to have my nails done as we had booked a table ... menus on iPads, I let my friend do the work there. We had two hot pots and a load of lamb, beef, tofu, mushroom and veggies. Great social dining experience. The... More

This is just the most fun I've ever had at a restaurant, the staff are just so attentive and nice and the food was great. The highlight of the evening was the noodle dancer but everything from waiting to be seated to leaving was an enjoyable experience.
