What a fabulous time. We were really well looked after, even gave us a private room for our large group with personal waitress, (tong) who is fabulous. Superb meal and good value.

The price for Hai Di Lao in shanghai is great. Food portion is huge ,go for Wafu beef only R70 and slice pork at R38, lovely mushroom soup base. Good service as usually. We ate to our heart content as we have Hai Di Lao in Sg however the price is double with smaller portion. Order 7 dishes with drinks... More

The best hot pot in Shanghai, at least that's how the concierge of our hotel said. The same information we got from some search on the web, and it seems that a review on the Harvard Business Review made this place even more successful. Actually we enjoyed the food and the overall experience a lot. Two different soup bases at... More

Good prices and best service. I was in Xujiahui Hai Di Lao and HDL on Changshou road. Better go on weekend daytime. In the evening you will have to wait an hour in table queue. Two girls bill was 150rmb.

So I been to this place three times now. First time I thought this place was pretty cool and really different. The service they provide is WELL beyond anyones expectations. I told the server anything and they will try their best to accomodate. However, my second and third trip the service got poorer and waiters were not as enthusiastic anymore.... More

This is a very popular hot pot chain in China. I've been to several locations and they are all extremely popular with the locals. The wait can be crazy long, we were once quoted 3 hours for a weekend dinner. In each resaturant, they have a big section for the waiting guests. There is often free fruit, snacks, and tea... More

More worth it if you are sharing with a big group. Three of us shared and each of us paid about RMB100. The queue is rather long at all the outlets so be prepared to wait for a while. In the meantime, feel free to engage in the free activities provided such as board games or manicure for the ladies!

We really enjoyed ourselves at this restaurant. Service was so friendly, they treated us like rock stars. Food was plentiful and we got to concoct our own sauces from a wide variety of ingredients. We had three generations of family and we all loved it. Tons of fun! At the end, they brought out a complimentary dessert of fruit that... More
