We really enjoyed ourselves at this restaurant. Service was so friendly, they treated us like rock stars. Food was plentiful and we got to concoct our own sauces from a wide variety of ingredients. We had three generations of family and we all loved it. Tons of fun! At the end, they brought out a complimentary dessert of fruit that... More

Haidilao is increasingly popular for locals and tourists alike. They are known for the service, activities provided to diners while queuing rather than the freshness of the food itself. Order the kongfu noodles and you get some entertainment from the person pulling the noodles. The staff are incredibly friendly and attention is paid to details such as providing aprons, wipes... It didn't meet my expectations. The food was not good at all. The ambiance was uncomfortable. The staff were unpolite. Overall i cannot recommend... More

Haidilao is the place to eat hot pot in Shanghai. Good service, good prices. Better not to go on weekdays at around 18:00-20:00. It's crowdy and you will have to wait for the table (but they offer games, drink and fruits while you wait an hour for your table). You can order half portions and try more.

Been here twice with my family in a week! It was that good. Been to few other restaurants in Shanghai, generally they doesn't really look into customer service. Sad faces on the waiters just doesn't work. This place is an exception! Friendly staff good food and really, the service you get here is extraordinarily!

Having experienced HDL in Beijing we decided to give Shanghai a go. Same high standard of service and quality of food! We visited the restaurant at 9pm and had to wait 10 mins for a table. By all accounts this is very good as in peak times you can expect to wait more than an hr. No time for the... More

The queue is unbelievably long. Have to wait 2hrs for a table. The broth is pretty tasty and service is pleasant and attentive. A big change from the usual rude staffs at restaurants which is pretty common. From where I come from, this is premium price hotpot. That is because we are paying for the free manicure for the ladies.... More
