Almost had a Gout Attack!

-1 because the view is blocked (not by the Party) thanks to smog and later, rain cloud cluster. Food is hearty - haven't such cornucopia of seafood selection before. For $60 you can enjoy limitless King Crab, lobster, oyster and roe! Almost had a gout attack!

This place has an outstanding view of the city. The food is ok. Nothing extraordinary, but not bad at all. The service is very good.

Price: RMB 368 (regardless weekday or weekend) + service for dinner buffet . It worths. It's on 56/F of the Hyatt hotel, very great view of Shanghai, The Bund. Food: Hard to say. One side, comparing other five star hotels, the food buffet area is pretty small. On the other hand, there are salad bar, sushi/sashimi, cold seafood (lobster, scallop,... More

I think this, as well as the Sofitel Mosaic, is one of the best buffet in town. Price is quite fair compared to food variety (you can have plenty of lobster...) that serves chinese and western. What is most impressive is the dessert station, simply wonderful in variety and tastes. They are very helpful if you have kids who can... More

Generally speaking, hotel lounge food is, well, hotel lounge food. I had a long day of meetings and then some late sight seeing and remembered when it was too late that I hadn’t made any firm plans for dinner (combo of too much running around and perhaps jetlag seeping in.) It was after 9 p.m. and the only option seemed... More

Living in Shanghai for 3 years, we decided to go to Grand Cafe for Saturday lunch. We took a la carte menu. Ordered hot & sour soup - anything but hot and sour. We ordered cheese burgers... if the chef at Grand Hyatt thinks that 'THE' slice of 5 gr cheese in the burger is enough, then we don't have... More

When you sit on the 55th floor overlooking the Bund you cannot resist being impressed by Shanghai. This is really also why you'd want to come to this restaurant. We needed a break from the local cuisine and went for the more known dishes from Europe. The food was average, but not cheap, but worst of all was the service.... More

The view from the 55th floor is amazing. Buffet style or ala carte dining. Reasonably priced for what you get.

Staying in Century Park

Neighborhood Profile
Century Park
Shanghai residents see Pudong’s suburbs as the place that grown-ups retreat to when they’re ready to settle down and stop living in the cramped confines of a refurbished lanehouse. The areas around Century Park are some of the most desirable as they are in close proximity to the Metro Lines, granting easy access to the heart of Puxi. The park itself is a huge draw, it’s one of Shanghai’s biggest and there are sports fields tucked into one of its corners, but five-star hotels, museums and great malls make life in the Century Park area easy for the homesick foreigner. And if living in a Western bubble in China isn’t your thing, there is plenty of local flavor to be had in between the major development. Some of Lujiazui’s futurism can also be seen in buildings and sculptures throughout the neighborhood as well.
