Top steak house but expensive

I just love steaks. I have eaten in milloin different places. This one goes to top 3 without any question. Steak was just as good as it can be. Service is nice. If S'hai has good air quality, the view is fabulous. Worth to visit, but remember to have lots of cash with you.

Our go-to place for a great steak has once again disappointed us. It's a long crazy story but after three attempts the kitchen was unable to make a steak as ordered that we could eat. At these prices that neR 1800 RMB in steak. If the steak was from Austrailia the cow must have been running away when shot. I... More

This is a regular stop with out of town visitors. The patio has great views, as does the inside, and the cocktails are very nice. However, I have also been for dinner a number of times and am usually let down: world class prices but average food. There are many better steakhouse / grill house options in town. You will... More

A surprising little find in the Indigo Blu Hotel. The offering of steaks and sides was extensive. Better yet, the service was attentive but not pretentious and the team has obviously been trained in the finer points of taking orders for steak (including how to offer good accompaniments, level of doneness (and knowing the options)). The salt platter was a... More

I love to come here for the cocktails which are very delicious and well done, especially the signature cocktails. The view overlooking the Bund is also great from the outside rooftop bar. Service stuff is attentive and experienced.

The rooftop bar has amazing views of the Shanghai skyline along the river. The drinks are expensive, but I recommend stopping in for a drink and soaking in the view!

Wow, what an amazing place!! Definitely one of the best steaks I've ever had by a long way. Sides were also delicious & accompanied the steak perfectly along with a couple of very nice bottles of red. Great bar to enjoy a pre-dinner drink before moving to your table for the amazing food. The view over the bund jus tops... More

Ate here twice whilst staying in the Hotel Indigo. The restaurant is very beautiful inside and if you are lucky enough to get a window seat the view is spectacular at night. The service had some minor issues, other tables would be served the bread and water before us even though we had been waiting longer but the level of... More

Came here from my girlfriend's Birthday. Staff very kind and helpful, and the Wagyu steak for sure the best I've had. Which I would expect it to be as it cost about 130 GBP!! A free Birthday cake and a singsong from the staff was a nice touch. It's all definitely overpriced, especially the drinks, but if you want to... More

Staying in South Bund

Neighborhood Profile
South Bund
This waterfront area below the most famous section of the Huangpu River has undergone multiple phases of development that started when the Waterhouse Hotel opened its doors. Though it’s been slower to catch on than people expected, every year something new and exciting opens up and gives people a reason to keep calling the South Bund the "Next Big Thing." There are a couple of landmark hotels and restaurants of excellent quality that serve as anchors, and multiple annual events such as beer festivals, art and fashion fairs and music shows take advantage of the wide spaces, waterfront location and the tiny man-made beach to host huge crowds of people. Wandering about the newness, one can stumble upon authentic Chinese life in the stone gates of people’s residences or the street markets.
