The restaurant is beautiful and the setting is perfect. We looked out over the river and night skyline as we ate. For an appetizer we got the "Dancing White Prawns" and it was one of the best things we've ever eaten. It melted in our mouth - so good!! For dinner I got the deep fried fish. Little did I... More

We popped in for a cocktail early evening and were impressed by the design and location. Unfortunately our experience was the opposite of what we would expect given the cost, of nearly 200 RMB for two cocktails. A very poor Cosmo and a whiskey sour made up of a shot of Johnny walker black and lemon juice... Not an egg... More

Went there booking a table on the window on Chinese New Year's eve. View was amazing and also the food. Expensive but very elegant, open kitchen and - when will be warmer I'll definitely enjoy - a great roof top terrace. Nothing to complain also about the service, despite some reviews I see here. We had starters, main course and... More

Shook! Has fantastic views (book a table near the window) and decor. Although the wait staff are friendly they don't appear to be sufficiently trained ie wrong orders, wine being served while still drinking cocktails, not sufficient break bw starter and main. The standard of food was good but not outstanding. I'd probably return for a drink on the rooftop... More

First visit was in 2011 and it was expensive but very good. This time it was much more expensive with mediocre food and many mistakes. To name a few: "home made butter" was served but nothing with it. After 15 minutes we had to ask if there shouldn't be any bread with it before bread was served. Ceasar salad with... More

Came back to Shook! with a colleague, and was still impressed. Had salmon tartare as appetizer, and flavour was excellent with unique presentation and enjoyable textures. Swapped the pork tenderloin and seafood pasta as mains. The pork was very tender, very flavourful. Wonderfully well done mushrooms in a cream sauce with the pork, along with some very fluffy fries and... More

After taking in a gorgeous sunset at The Bund, on the rooftop of the Swatch Art Peace Hotel, our group was treated to a wonderful dinner and great service at Shook!. We had different appetizers and entrees, which gave us a chance to sample a variety of items. Food was an interesting mix of fusion and all that we sampled... More

We went for restaurant week so had the dinner set menu. Drinks on the rooftop terrace were 88rmb but the view was incredible. Cheaper than its neighbor next door, Bar Rouge. Dinner was on the 5th floor and the service was incredible. Our plates/glasses were taken when appropriate without being intrusive. We were asked about our experience and it was... More

I have never seen such a bad service for a supposedly high standard restaurant. Our waitress were not able to answer our questions. She was like "hmmm, hihihi" then gone! I could not believe it! Then, the wrong dishes come to our table...a big catastrophe...Hopefully, the manager was much nicer and more professional. The drinks are incredibly expensive and it... More
