I visited this place for a Sunday Lunch in May 2014 and I'm planning to go there soon again. I’m still thinking about those churros!

Wow the food never disappoints! We booked this restaurant with customers on Thursday this week and it was delicious! The starter of avo, salsa and chips was so fresh! Everyone really enjoyed this The short rib main was amazing! So was the lamb main dish. The condensed milk ice cream was a treat and wish their had been more in... More

Been awhile since I have been to Maya so I thought of giving it another try. Started off with a pitcher of margaritas. Had the shrimp-crab cakes, which were OK but not great. The jalapeño bean dip was was fantastic and not too hot. I had the short rib carne asado, which was really good. My wife had the lamb... More

Loved the atmosphere, loved the service. Some dishes were better than others - I was disappointed by the ceviche and the salmon tacos - but the good ones, man, they were REALLY good. The duck entree was amazing, and the churros for dessert are a must. Tequila flights and sangria pitchers also make for a fun evening. And our server... More

Maya is a wonderful Mexican restaurant. The food is delicious. I had the Argentine beef with roasted potatoes and it food was devine. It is a higher end restaurant but the value is there. The first time it's difficult to find, but keep looking for it, you won't be dissapointed.

Never fails to please. Ribs are good as are the standard mexican staples. Especially like the casserole which has a little kick. Washed down with a jug of sangria or margarita. Nice busy atmosphere

When you walk into Mayita in Shanghai, you walk into an upscale Californian Mexican oasis. The ambiance is warm, inviting an familiar. The staff are friendly, attentive, and courteous. The star however, is the food. Rarely have I been to a restaurant where every dish was absolutely perfect, this was a rare time. Meats melted in your mouth, cooked perfectly. Everything... More

Given you don't quite find the real deal as far as Mexican food goes in SH, this place is the furthest of all. Maybe they should call it "Mexican INSPIRED". If you want more authentic flavor, look elsewhere.

Visited Maya for brunch on Saturday. Very nice atmosphere and great food. I would especially comment on the Churros which were really delicious. On another note the waiters are nothing special: no smile, take out plates even if not everyone has finished.... Seems only the owner or main manager who welcome us was above all. Finally I wonder why they... More
