Solid steak, but for that price?

Saturday night out and decided to go to Pinnacle. Had been there twice before. Cowboy steak was not that big, I worried before I could not eat it, but really it was a good but not excessive portion. Sides neither. Quality was ok, but really for that price more can be expected. Service was good... read more

After a few days in China I honestly got tired of eating Chinese which is not my usual, so we went out to this restaurant and alas it had some old fashioned steak just like it's roasted back home and in the west. The portions were not chunky but believe you me after days of sweet and sour a sight... More

I am writing this review with the override that we didn't end up eating in the place - so it is a review of the several minutes before deciding not to eat and leaving. It was a rainy night in Shanghai and we decided to eat in the hotel and save the wait for a taxi - we were enticed... More

I have been to Pinnacle Peak twice in the past 9 months and my recent visit reinforced my first one. The meat here is not up to standard given the costs and the service is dismal. When going to a steakhouse, they should be all about the meat, especially at these prices. Instead, my steak was poor quality and getting... More

This western-style inspired restaurant can do more to upgrade the quality of food and service and be better.. The video on the wall is quite distracting,it spoils it when you are dining with someone, a relaxing music should do it to set the mood. It is a restaurant not a bar I think. The food timing is an important factor,... More

T-bone and spinach were sold-out. Service was ok, food presentation no good. Not really value for - 3 persons incl. one bottle of medium priced red wine countervalue of ca. EUR 190 - but food was good.

I came here several months ago, it was alright, but i went there yesterday with some friends and it was a disaster... The meat was alright, but if you compare with the price, not so great... The service was terrible and the staff did not understand any English... Even the Manager of the place did not really care about the... More

It was about 8:30 and I had the real need for a steak... Pinnacle Peak is right down the road from me and I thought why not as I had't been there for several years. I used to get rib eye there but recently have not been to into those and slipped back into my Sirloin comfort zone. Ordered their... More

Pinnacle Peak is an American Steak house located in the City Hotel. It is a bit hard to find and not a convenient location. The most interesting thing is that it has it's own mechanical bull! The food itself is standard. I had American ribs, which was not good but not bad.

Staying in People’s Square

Neighborhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
