Mr & Mrs Bund – Modern Eatery by Paul Pairet. A modern French eatery. Relaxed chic atmosphere, heritage Bund location.Mr & Mrs Bund is French, in the manner of Chef Paul Pairet: born, traveled, and globally stamped. Contemporary, but not stuffy. Relaxed, without sacrificing an ounce of chic. We serve populist French favorites, through Pairet's looking glass. Service is family-style, recast for a modern table, and the wine list includes 32 wines by the glass. We riff on classics, we dish up comfort cuisine, and we serve it just like you would Sunday night dinner – sharing-style, and with plenty for seconds. It's a straightforward menu that takes simple French classics to start, and then let you add and play. Mash-ups: not just for potatoes and DJs anymore. Hours: Dinner: 5:30pm to 10:30pm (Monday to Sunday); Late Night Supper: 11:00pm to 2:00am (Thursday to Saturday)Accolades: No.43 in 2013 & No. 76 in 2014 by The World’s 50 Best Restaurants & 51-100 list; No.7 in 2013 & No.11 in 2014 by Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants

Glamorous eating!

As usual, was impressed by its night bund view, food (lemon & lemon tart, still my fav) it was elite fine dining week and I still managed to change my reservations to a more private corner rather than the large, long table. Service was good with an experienced manager serving us. Everything was fine until there's tons of running and... More

Very posh and up scale. The food is fantastic but worth a lot. Take the view of the bund at the terrace, it provides a stunning view for your photos of Shanghai Bund!

The location is superb. The quality of food is excellent. Wine list adequate to the food. Be prepared to spend at least 150 euro without wine. The check can go in the sky with some wines. Be careful to calculate the exchange rate RMB vs € or $. However if you can afford it is an experience do be done.... More

My finest dining experience in my almost 8 years in Shanghai ! Yes, the location is iconic - but it's the food that's really the centrepiece . Beautifully presented and served by knowledgeable staff who are happy to recommend items on the menu. Drinks are a bit pricey but this is definitely the place to go for a special occasion... More

I wouldn't call it great as others have done. I echo all the reviews that the food is excellent and the service almost excellent. We went early to get a table by the window with the view and if we had it to do again we wouldn't have bothered. Better views of the Bund from the terrace at the Fairmont... More

Among the fine dining places, Mr & Mrs Bund is my favorite in Shanghai. Every time I go there, I leave happy. Yes, you need to bring a big wallet but is worth it. The food is fresh, every dish seems simple but always comes with the twist. My favorite are the scallops with ginger and mashed potatoes, yummy, taste... More

I can’t believe it took me this long to write a review for MMB! I have been to MMB numerous times over the years since it opened so this is not really simply to speak about my latest experience (a couple of weeks ago). This is to let people know that standards have been kept throughout the years – food,... More
