Description: Mr & Mrs Bund – Modern Eatery by Paul Pairet. A modern French eatery. Relaxed chic atmosphere, heritage Bund location.Mr & Mrs Bund is French, in the manner of Chef Paul Pairet: born, traveled, and globally stamped. Contemporary, but not stuffy. Relaxed, without sacrificing an ounce of chic. We serve populist French favorites, through Pairet's looking glass. Service is family-style, recast for a modern table, and the wine list includes 32 wines by the glass. We riff on classics, we dish up comfort cuisine, and we serve it just like you would Sunday night dinner – sharing-style, and with plenty for seconds. It's a straightforward menu that takes simple French classics to start, and then let you add and play. Mash-ups: not just for potatoes and DJs anymore. Hours: Dinner: 5:30pm to 10:30pm (Monday to Sunday); Late Night Supper: 11:00pm to 2:00am (Thursday to Saturday)Accolades: No.43 in 2013 & No. 76 in 2014 by The World’s 50 Best Restaurants & 51-100 list; No.7 in 2013 & No.11 in 2014 by Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants

A group of us from South Africa were treated to Dinner at Mr & Mrs Bund in Shanghai in November and WOW! It definitely deserves to be on the top 20 list for Asia and Top 100 in the World. the service was quick and efficient. Each dish was explained and then taken aside to be carved or cut up... More

Best bund location, excellent service and food for formal dinning occasions. Best thing I like about it is private because of tables are far apart

We ate here as part of a group and were served apparently the ‘signature dish’ menu. The starter was a tin of some fish in a very heavy mayonnaise sauce served with too thin melba toast; the result was nearly impossible to eat. It was followed by smoked salmon presented with seven different relishes; the salmon was fine but quite... More

We celebrated our engagement anniversary at Shanghai’s most raved about modern French restaurant that sits on the city’s most prestigious address, The Bund. I expected the restaurant to be uptight, stuffy and very very quiet with the occasional clinking of silverware and china bone. On the contrary, the restaurant was very spacious sans carpet and tapestry with family-style dining service.... More

Like many other high-end restaurants in Shanghai and in general the F&B industry in China, consistency is a very expensive and rare trait a restaurant can possess. The same goes with Mr. & Mrs. Bund. I've frequented this establishment at least 5x in the span of 2 years and the standards just keep on slipping away from excellent to very... More

Maybe the best dinner I've ever experienced. Starting with the great wine list and cocktails - several wines by the glass. We started with the tuna mousse amuse bouche then moved on to the warm-from-the-oven bread, cod, chicken aioli, and veal. Everything was perfect. Service was impeccable. Loved the chair for my friend's purse. Views of the skyline are magnificent.... More

The food didn't live up to its reputation, though it was certainly good. Absolutely still worth going for the experience- very fun space and excellent service.

It's very impressive dining experience. Kelvin, the manager of the restaurant did a fantastic job recommending the courses. The lemon grass steamed Prawn, Ribs, house wines were EXCELLENT. Portions were not too heavy and great desserts (especially the chocolate cake with hot fillings inside). Don't forget to take a trip to the Bar Rouge on the top floor afterwards! The... More

Can't really add much to the great reviews already on here - can really recommend the French 75 cocktail - one of the best I've tasted.
