Description: Mr & Mrs Bund – Modern Eatery by Paul PairetA modern French eatery. Relaxed chic atmosphere, heritage Bund location.Mr & Mrs Bund is French, in the manner of Chef Paul Pairet: born, traveled, and globally stamped. Contemporary, but not stuffy. Relaxed, without sacrificing an ounce of chic. We serve populist French favorites, through Pairet's looking glass. Service is family-style, recast for a modern table, and the wine list includes 32 wines by the glass. We riff on classics, we dish up comfort cuisine, and we serve it just like you would Sunday night dinner – sharing-style, and with plenty for seconds. It's a straightforward menu that takes simple French classics to start, and then let you add and play. Mash-ups: not just for potatoes and DJs anymore. Hours: Lunch: 11.30am to 2pm (Monday to Friday) Dinner: 6pm to 10.30pm (Sunday to Thursday); 6pm to 11pm (Friday & Saturday) Late Night Supper: 10.30pm to 2am (Tuesday to Thursday); 11pm to 4am (Friday & Saturday) Accolades: No.95 in The World's Best Restaurants 2012 by Restaurant Magazine UK, No.7 in Asia's Top 20 & No.1 in China by 2011/2012 The Miele Guide.

We had a very enjoyable meal at Mr & Mrs Bund. The staff were attentive and charming, the view wonderful and the surroundings pleasant. We did not order starters and were glad we didn't as we were brought a delicious tuna mousse with excellent bread. We followed this with delicious lamb. My only complaint is the cost of a class... On a recent visit to Shanghai to visit our son we decided to eat here on our last night. We had read the reviews so were really looking forward to a fantastic meal. On arrival we asked for a recommendation for a pre dinner drink. We were advised by our waitress that a Lemon Tart Martini was the signature cocktail... More

This was the last night of our holiday, loved Shanghai and this was a fitting end to a great trip. Great food, extensive menu, not to full on or stuffy. Beautiful surrounds and relaxed atmosphere, young crowd. Food was great, we'd been told it was expensive but we didnt think so may be compared to other places to eat there.... More

Awesome food and services. Compared to the Sense and Bund from before, the price is much more reasonable with no less in quality! Good for business (you bankers!) and an exquisite meal!

We were 6 persons who wanted to taste different dishes, so we ordered food for 6 delivered in the middle of the table. And by doing this everyone could taste everything. A very successful meal. Took some time to get one of the 6 apéritifs.

You can enjoy the great Waitan scenery from the window and from the balcony, and delicious lunch courses. There are two courses, which are 200 RMB and 250 RMB. These are not cheap ones, but worth paying money. You can choose your dishes from many alternatives. So because this restaurant is very popular, there are so many people even at... More

Besides the great location, views and atmosphere, the food indeed deserves the position on the 50 best restaurants in the world... We took the 888 RMB 8 courses menu and were surprised with every course. Expensive, but well worth it's price!

What a fun experience! For 200RMB per person you get some world class fare in a great setting with very attentive service. You really can't ask for much more. Of course after drinks your bill ends up being a bit more than anticipated but it still was a great experience. Some minor hiccups (very long wait at the bar for... More

Mr & Mrs Bund is listed among the 50 Best Restaurants of the World in the San Pellegrino List and the only one, so far, in mainland China. This is a sign that the Chinese food does not fit the criteria set by the San Pellegrino list or Michelin? Or rather, that they lack qualified tasters for Chinese food? It... More

I went here twice, just to make sure my first experience was not an off-night situation. First visit -- very mediocre food, okay service, very unappealing decor. What they call foie gras is pretty embarrassing - hands down the least appetizing I've ever had. The beef cheeks were bland, but the asparagus saved the night as being disastrous. The 2nd... More
