Description: Mr & Mrs Bund – Modern Eatery by Paul Pairet. A modern French eatery. Relaxed chic atmosphere, heritage Bund location.Mr & Mrs Bund is French, in the manner of Chef Paul Pairet: born, traveled, and globally stamped. Contemporary, but not stuffy. Relaxed, without sacrificing an ounce of chic. We serve populist French favorites, through Pairet's looking glass. Service is family-style, recast for a modern table, and the wine list includes 32 wines by the glass. We riff on classics, we dish up comfort cuisine, and we serve it just like you would Sunday night dinner – sharing-style, and with plenty for seconds. It's a straightforward menu that takes simple French classics to start, and then let you add and play. Mash-ups: not just for potatoes and DJs anymore. Hours: Dinner: 5:30pm to 10:30pm (Monday to Sunday); Late Night Supper: 11:00pm to 2:00am (Thursday to Saturday)Accolades: No.43 in 2013 & No. 76 in 2014 by The World’s 50 Best Restaurants & 51-100 list; No.7 in 2013 & No.11 in 2014 by Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants

Yes its expensive, it's located on the Bund with am awesome view of Pudong's neon skyline, the decor's lovely (modern, edgy), its in China so the wine is usually expensive, and the chef's behind Ultraviolet - so you should expect nothing less. In my opinion though, the food is worth it, with the beef short rib the standout dish, though... More

Bruno the manager from France is great - super knowledgeable and recommended some great dishes for me - even ordered something i didn't and it worked super well. Helped my friend who was traveling later in the month get a table at UV - high end PP restaurant. Food was great - service excellent. Definitely have the signature dishes -... More

The location directly on the Bund with a spectacular view from the window or the patio (should you sit there), a stellar interior design, professional yet casual waiters (the service is excellent without being stiff, instead of black tie, expect a uniform of Converse shoes, jeans, and suspenders), and fantastic, creative, modern food - this is certainly worth a visit.... I would highly recommend this restaurant, particularly for business entertaining. The other reviews are right, it is a bit hip and quite expensive, but the food is delicious and the menu varied. I love the decor too, and the staff and their quirky outfits and friendly attitude. It is designed to wow a western audience, but for me, that's fine... More

Great service! The best we experienced the whole trip. Food is well prepared and tasteful without being very complicated. Got a 5 course meal and sat there for almost 3 hours. Finished with a glass on one of the two terraces with view over the Pudong skyline. Great atmosphere in the restaurant as well. Reservation is recommended but it's possible... More

So the bad first, they tried to seat us at the worst table in the place. Right on the walkway next to waiter stand in the glaring lights. We asked for another table, not going to spend that much and not enjoy the table, too experienced for that! So they said 30 minute wait and it was already kind of... More

The staff were confused as to their roles. There was frequent yelling by the area manager at the staff. I can understand Chinese and it was disturbing for him to discipline his staff right next to my table, then turn to me with a massively fake smile and ask if my food was ok. They should be discussing training issues... More

It's true to say the lemon dessert was the highlight of the night. The rest of our meals were ok, but for the price we did expect a higher quality of food and service. The view from the outdoor area is stunning. There are certainly other options in Shanghai with the same standard of food for a lot less $,... More

The food here is really boring, typical food you would order in a bistro or cafe in America or Europe, we got the pre set menu for 2, and I was rather disappointed. That being said, the setting is quite cool, it's right on the bund below bar rouge, one of my favorite bars in shanghai, and you get a... More
