Description: Mr & Mrs Bund – Modern Eatery by Paul PairetA modern French eatery. Relaxed chic atmosphere, heritage Bund location.Mr & Mrs Bund is French, in the manner of Chef Paul Pairet: born, traveled, and globally stamped. Contemporary, but not stuffy. Relaxed, without sacrificing an ounce of chic. We serve populist French favorites, through Pairet's looking glass. Service is family-style, recast for a modern table, and the wine list includes 32 wines by the glass. We riff on classics, we dish up comfort cuisine, and we serve it just like you would Sunday night dinner – sharing-style, and with plenty for seconds. It's a straightforward menu that takes simple French classics to start, and then let you add and play. Mash-ups: not just for potatoes and DJs anymore. Hours: Dinner: 5:30pm to 10:30pm (Monday to Sunday); Late Night Supper: 11:00pm to 2:00am (Thursday to Saturday) Accolades: No.95 in The World's Best Restaurants 2012 by Restaurant Magazine UK, No.7 in Asia's Top 20 & No.1 in China by 2011/2012 The Miele Guide.

We ate one of the very BEST dinners last night and enjoyed it immensely. The casual chic interior with fab views of Pudong and energetic young staff were great. It was en-livening and restored our tired selves in a restful but happening environment after a long day of walking in amazing Shanghei. The staff were chic but comfortable and helpful.... More

From 11pm to 2am, they have pretty much a happy hour on their food, something like 200 kuai for two or three dishes. Buy 1 and get two drinks. View is incredible, drinks are top notch. Food is actually great value at the price, if you take advantage of a late night dinner. The French should enjoy this place. Lovely... More

We went for dinner in Shanghai having heard great things. The food was good: very rich, a bit too sweet and salty for our European tastes, but imaginative. The spare rib main was HUGE and incredibly fatty, and there were some interesting appetizers. Not exactly a fine dining experience, with families eating as well as groups of adults/couples. The wine... More

I visited this great restaurant in shanghai with a party of 6 people for a business dinner. The restaurant is close to the Peace hotel with an excellent view and nice relaxed atmosphere. The service is very good and fast with many waiters ready to help you with any needs. As starters we have some very nice freshly baked bread... More

I visit here when friends come to town to impress....tip - the Late Supper is 50% off food from 11pm - great value for money. Truffle salad is delicious, with Parmesan crisps to die for. The lemon tart is served in a lemon skin and is an interesting mix of textures. The whole dining experience is opulent and has a... More

The ambiance here, with a huge elevated table in the middle of the restaurant, is the best modern type restaurant we have been to china. Food was very good, but the people watching was much better. The service was ok, but it was a very busy weekend night.

With all the hype we decided to try this eatery. Located in an old building on the Bund, it is like a converted space with a total mismatch of furniture, colors and themes. The menu is massive in an attempt to cater to just about everyone. The attempt is to give French food to the masses. The ambience is loud,... More

We booked on the day. Tables by the window had long gone and we could only get a corner table for which the receptionist apologised. In the event we liked the siting, giving us a quiet position near to the Bund terrace access. The menu is astonishing in its coverage. The first page details the provenance. The wine list comes... After 2 weeks in China, the French food on offer here was simply amazing! Great service and not rushed which was nice. Scenic spot.
