I have been a fan since 2005. This is THE ONLY place I would visit every time I am in PVG, rain or shine. This is the best food I had in China for decades. I mean China in general. I pray they keep the operations forever. It would be devastating if they are gone one day. You know, you... More

Its really tasty and cheap, have never eaten this kind of snack in other part of Asia, it is really juicy inside the pan fried bun, if you have never tried it before, I'd say it is a must try! we also ordered a sour and spicy noodle it was also not bad but not the main course of the... More

A local Shanghai friend took us here to try the shengjian dumplings and bun, don't expect service, it is a fast food, very cheap price, with the all time long line waiting to buy to go orders outside the restaurant make this a scenery place, the food was great, the dumpling are juicy and tasteful, must come back more often!

We found the long queuing time justified. The bun is fresh and yummy. It's very hot, be careful not to get burnt. A must-try for tourists.

The shengjian is definitely a must try when in Shanghai. It's perfectly fried and bursting with flavours. Just be careful when eating because the juice inside may squirt all over your clothes. I've been to this location before but usually go to the one inside Ba Li Chun Tian. There's always a lineup no matter which location, but it's well... More

Here is the process: Order at counter, take receipt to dumpling window, then go find a seat if your pals haven't already. And bring extra napkins in your back pocket in case you have a dumpling blowout. Observe the process for a minute then proceed, it all moves pretty fast and no one wants a dithering laowei gumming up the... More

Much preffered this shop to jiajia. Great shengjian, a partially fried scallion and sesame coated dumpling. Been living in China for 3 years; visiting Shanghai for holiday, and these are some of the best and minimally greasy fried dumplings I've tried.

The famous dumplings are greasy but exquisite. Super value since it was less than ten RMB a plate. These must be eaten carefully since there is soup inside! The beef soup is a good choice too. It's not the most pretty place, but it's great for any occasion!

6RMB for 4 pork dumplings, you can't beat that. It is a great local Chinese restaurant, busy at most locations. The west nanjing station one-located at exit 4, 2nd floor of that building. The one at Shanghai Stadium subway station, take exit 4 to the in centre, it's on B1. There are dozens of locations but those are the two... More
