Nothing better in taste and value

This is the real deal for this category or local fast food. Original location and served hot from the pan don't miss the experience and taste. Meanwhile don't forget to order the hot and sour Mei fan soup as a complement!

Touted to be one of the best cheap local food, it did not fail to please. The pan fried dumplings are succulent and the juice packed within truly makes it a Shanghai Xiao Long Bao just pan fried. Select the tri-flavour combo if you can take prawns, you get the best of their selections. Yums!

No matter how long the lines are, how gruff the service is, you just gotta love their dumplings, the six pack variety is worth a try. Price remains affordable.

I grew up in the city and everytime I return, this one place I must visit ( perhaps more than once). Therd might be queues, but thing are fast pace here. A little wait is more than worthwhile for these delicious soupy yet crispy dumplings.

Got 4 huge dumplings (all very tasty, 2 shrimp, 2 pork) and a coke for 15 Yuan. Place is clean, staff was friendly and food perfect.

I stayed in Shanghai for a month and Yang's became my comfort food. They're super cheap RMB 6-15 for packs of them, very fresh, and filling. My favorites are the Yang's (porl), the Shepard's pie (veggie), and the Shrimp dumplings. You can usually find Yang's in the malls around. I know there is one at Cloud Nine (Zhongshang Park train... It used to be a crowded small shop and difficult to get a seat, now expanded and updated in a food court building. Still very crowded during lunch hour, but self service was fast, considering the long line, as the chef has several pans frying at the same time.

After years of not seeking this place out, I finally made it and now am a fan-for-life! Though the one on Shaanxi Lu is small and not fancy, to say the least this in itself is not without its charm. It will be hard not to make weekly visits ...

Great Dumpling..expect to wait. It will get hectic if you arrived right on lunch and dinner time, but boy it worth it. If you don't want to wait. Pay a small fee online and get someone who will queue on behalf of you.

This is part of a chain of restaurant, or you will call it a fast food restaurant instead. Small in looks and place but big on flavour. Had traveled to many parts of Asia but this is still the best dumpling that i ever had. Its crispy on the outside, juicy inside the fillings, and you get some soup that... More

Staying in Jing'an

Neighborhood Profile
Jing'an
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
