Cheap, cheerful and amazingly good. We visited two Yang's dumpling outlets in Shanghai. A bargain a 6 CNY for the regular dumplings and 16 CNY for the Shrimp. We liked it so much we went back to another outlet for dinner. The 26 CNY combo, with 4 dumplings and a bowl of soup was a reasonable deal, but I stuck... More

I have high expectations for Asian food and this Yang's fried dumplings blew me away. Not only it is cheap and filling for me, it is really quite the holy grail. The combination of the hot soup with the juicy meat and skin. Yummy. Just be careful not to get scalded by the hot spilling soup when you sink your... More

Best dumplings I've ever had. Sooooo nice. Be careful though, I took a huge bite out of the dumpling and spilt half the juice down my top. Make sure you visit when in Shaghai. Well Worth it!

This may be one of the shortest reviews. If you like fried dumplings, you must go and try these tasty, freshly made dumplings. Delicious. Be careful eating them: they are very, very hot and the content may spray when you bite.

When I first moved here, a friend took me to Yang's Fried dumplings, and I was astonished at how tasty these things were, and their cost. I was transitioning from thinking in USD to RMB at the time, and by scaling everything in 'How many orders of Yang's Dumplings can i buy?' instead of 'How many RMB = USD' helped... More

It used to be quite tasty some years ago but recently it became more and more salty till I have to make other dumplings my new favorite (like Gaozu). All in all, it is a good presentation of local Shanghai flavor, juicy and fresh. The shrimp ones are their best, compared to pure pork ones. It is better with some... More

I first tried these dumplings not realising Yang's is a chain store, and I used to make trips across town to have them. Now, luckily, I know they have branches all over so I have them just about every time I can. My personal name for their famous dish is 'burnt-bottom dumplings'. You'll see why when you try them.

Fluffy tops, crispy bottoms and great soup inside. What more is there to say! The best of both worlds steamed top and fried bottoms.

It's worth checking these out for the experience of trying deep-fried dumplings, but I was not blown away by them. It's fast food or snack food at most. I prefer steam dumplings myself.

Fresh made dumplings, juicy and hot. What can you get with ¥6 for 4 dumplings. Best value as a trial for local snacks. Also tried the tofu rice noodle soup but disappointed
