... the only thing that bothers me is that not much more street food style of places can join the high ranks of Yangs's fried dumpling. In the second of mall above the subway station of Line 2 it has for good reason in peak hours a waiting line and is densely packed with patron, co -seating is normal. For... More

These may be my favorite fried dumplings ever. Seeing hundreds of them being cooked in massive woks is pretty amazing and they come up out crispy on outside but full of juice on the inside! Definitely recommend letting the steam out first before biting into dumpling or else you'll burn your mouth. I like the shrimp over the pork but... More

Yang's is a huge chain all over town and well know for their pan fried juicy pork dumplings. They are a unique kind of dumplings that are steamed/pan fried at the same time, resulting in a steamed bun with a nice crispy bottom. The texture and flavor of the buns are just delicious. It's salty, juicy, chewy, and crispy all... More

I've tried their few branches and the quality of the food is consistent. What's more to say about the big and juicy dumpling besides becareful of burning your tongue when you try to suck all the juices from the dumpling. A must-try dumpling. Tips on eating the dumpling after observing the locals : bite the top of the dumpling and... More

Yang's is a chain and there are many of these places scattered throughout Shanghai. I've been to several locations and they're not materially different from one another. The dumplings are unbelievably cheap and delicious. Each dumpling costs the equivalent of about $0.25. The locals line up for them throughout the day. It's not pretty food. The service is practically nonexistent.... More

OMG. Love this place. Lines can get long but they move quickly. These are crispy on the bottom, fluffy on the outside and chock-full of juicy goodness. I mean, seriously, these will squirt all over everything if you are not careful. I live in the US but will come back to Shanghai just to eat here. Super inexpensive but soooooooooo... More

Four big soup dumplings for the equivalent of one dollar. Great deal, 10 locations in Shanghai. My take: http://grassrootsgardening.net/2014/11/27/iso-dumplings/

Visiting Shanghai for 2 days and I found this joint on tripadvisor. The review are accurate, great dumplings, very cheap. There was a long line Sunday afternoon as a testament to its popularity and it moved quickly. I asked the Concierge at the hotel and they immediately confirmed its popularity. I had the pork and shrimp dumplings and will seek... More

The shrimp dumplings and yangs dumplings simply delicious. One of the best things we ate in china in 14 days. Extremely cheap. We found it easily by the crowd outside. We were offered a seat inside by a friendly waitress. She quickly recognized thatwe were struggling eating them with chopsticks as they were so large and without asking brought us... More

Loved these dumplings. Its a very simple shop, there is an English menu if you need it - just point to the dish you want. I had dumplings three times on my visit to Shanghai, they are great. Make sure you get a spoon to catch the juices from inside the dumplings. I only tried the dumplings, the prawn dumplings... More
