Must visit

Super cheap tasty dumplings. Totally worth the visit. We have been here on both our trips to Shanghai so far and look forward to it every time. 4 dumplings for about ¥6. There's three levels of seating as well and it seems to have had an upgrade with better English picture menus. Very close to... read more

We had new experience with delightful pork dumplings, cheap, clean, and tasty, four people around 250 yuan for the brunch, really worth, recommended.

Great local deli! Shrimp and original flavor is a must try! There are many franchise locations around the city, so you may easily find your way to try out this favorable local deli.

I ate at Yang's three times during my stay in Shanghai. Twice at the newer location north and west of People's Park and once at the one at the Shanghai Railway Station. I am sad that I might never get to eat these dumplings again. A single order includes four dumplings, which is plenty for the average person. I also... More

Best fried dumplings in Shanghai! A little bit heavy, but worth it! Try the ones with shrimp meats these are even more brilliant! But expect some waiting time and full restaurants. Everybody knows and everybody loves it!

Forget xiao long bao - this place is where it's at in Shanghai. They have multiple locations throughout the city and the food is absolutely amazing and ridiculously cheap. A must eat restaurant while in Shanghai. Get one of their lunch sets with a curry soup or the duck blood soup, okra and the dumplings and you will be more... More

This popular chain is definitely good value, but there are just as definitely better dumplings to be found in Shanghai at just as reasonable a price. On the plus side, these were hearty enough to fill two twelve-year-old boys! The service was good; they kindly corrected our order when there was a mistake. The

The signature dish is the pan fried dumpling similar to pot stickers. There are different choices for the filling. The wrap for the dumpling is thin and the dumplings are juicy inside. No English was spoken at the outlet I visited but do not be intimidated, just point and order. The price of the value meal ranged between US $... More

Unlike xiao long bao, these are fried rather than steamed and this chain, in my opinion offers the best fried Shanghai dumplings. I've been to various outlets and the 'cleanest' ones have been the one in the basement of Reel Shopping Mall in Jing'An and this newly refurbished shop at Nanjing West Road metro station (Line 2 - green one... My wife and I popped in to the Yang's Dumplings located on YuYuan Road near the Metro train station. You can't miss the bright pink signs if you are nearby. After paying at the front counter, we waiting patiently as we watched the cook fix up a fresh pan of dumplings. Now, these are not your typical pans. The large... More
