The signature dish is the pan fried dumpling similar to pot stickers. There are different choices for the filling. The wrap for the dumpling is thin and the dumplings are juicy inside. No English was spoken at the outlet I visited but do not be intimidated, just point and order. The price of the... read more

This popular chain is definitely good value, but there are just as definitely better dumplings to be found in Shanghai at just as reasonable a price. On the plus side, these were hearty enough to fill two twelve-year-old boys! The service was good; they kindly corrected our order when there was a mistake. The

Unlike xiao long bao, these are fried rather than steamed and this chain, in my opinion offers the best fried Shanghai dumplings. I've been to various outlets and the 'cleanest' ones have been the one in the basement of Reel Shopping Mall in Jing'An and this newly refurbished shop at Nanjing West Road metro station (Line 2 - green one... My wife and I popped in to the Yang's Dumplings located on YuYuan Road near the Metro train station. You can't miss the bright pink signs if you are nearby. After paying at the front counter, we waiting patiently as we watched the cook fix up a fresh pan of dumplings. Now, these are not your typical pans. The large... More

Popular with locals and foreigners alike, you can't go wrong with any of Yangs dumplings. Drop in to one of the many locations for lunch or an afternoon snack. A must-try when visiting Shanghai.

We love Yangs!! The best fried sheng jian bao anywhere in the world. Now serving a shrimp version, (we love the pork better), but still. Phenomenal, and cheap!!

As the name suggest's fry dumplings. however, the dumplings here were soaked in oil. We got out feeling sick in our stomach with the amount of oil in the food. Undoubtedly, a cheap place to eat with a lot of patrons! However, this place didnt do the trick for us.

i'm not a big fan of xiao long bao but i love shen jian baos and these are amazing. I have one near my house and I go there all the time. The shrimp dumplings are good too but I can't vouch for anything else since I haven't even it. Its fried and has a lot of soup so if... More

Although we were not entirely clear how to order at first, we concluded the long line outside the tiny restaurant must be indicative of good food, so we gave it a shot. We could not be happier that we did. It was pretty easy to figure out how to order, and the dumplings and soup were delicious and incredibly inexpensive.... More

This is a fast-food like chain, famous for its dumplings- for good reason. They offer the soup-dumplings which are fries from one side. These are really good and you can see how they make them! The rest of the menu though is below average. I had a rice-noodle soup which was actually quite bad. But then again, they specialize in... More
