We visited Beijing and Shanghai in April 2014. Our Tour agent had arranged our food. We were a group of 12 doctors ( 8 vegetarians). They arranged some vegetarian Chinese food near great wall, which was not to our taste. Other Restaurants also kept us hungry. I suggested them 'Indian Kitchen' in shanghai because 7 yrs ago, we had a... More

Seating, atmosphere and food was good. Time taken to bring food was real fast. Value for money. Only problem is a bit lethargic attitude of the people working there.

This was one of the frequent restaurants i visited during my 6 months stint in Shanghai. The food is authentic, you can seek customization and the waiter can speak hindi/english. Do try the Aloo-Gobhi here.

During our tour to China, one of the prime place was Shangai. After going thro most of the Indian restaurants in China, although they say they are Indian restaurants but they are not. One of the Indian restaurant which is out of the crowd is Indian Kitchen. The Dal (we can say Poppu in south Indian language) and Sambar,Rasam was... More

Had been to this restaurant during last week visit to Shanghai. Though the options in the menu are limited but whatever options were available, the food served were tasty. Though a bit heavy but that is how Indian food are. The service staff needs more training about serving the food properly, as it differes from menu to menu specially for... More

Tried the 2 options for lunch. Some items good on option A and others good on option B. The samosas, yellow dal, roti & tandoori chicken are the best items to order. The rest was all okay. This was the best Indian food we had while traveling in China.

We used to frequent Indian Kitchen but not anymore. Back then we could order half a Tandoor Chicken but now it comes in slices and the portion looks less. This time we ordered Butter Nan, Palak Paneer and Samosas. The Butter Naan is soft and tasty. However the Palak Paneer is possibly the worst we've ever had - tasteless, no... More

The music being played at the background is Indian, the makes of dishes are Indian but that is all. Ambience is not Indian and even tables have permanent marks left by hot dishes. Taste is not truly Indian but you are in Shanghai hence don't expect food like home. Food servers your craving for Indian dishes. Service is quite slow... More
