Visited this bar after ten years, and I hope to stop by again sooner. Just had champagne, but reasonably priced, and the servings were generous. The view of evening Shanghai is another good reason to come here. There are smoking and non-smoking sections, but the latter must get pretty smokey when the bar is crowded.

Jade is, without doubt, our favourite brunch location in Shanghai. The setting is great (quite small and intimate, exactly the opposite of most Shanghai brunches) and the food is excellent. The buffet offer a good selection of starters, but it's the trip to the kitchen to select main course dishes that for us is one of the highlights. These normally... More

I arrived at the (empty) bar earlier this evening to be asked if I had a reservation. After saying no, I was escorted in begrudgingly. I asked to sit at a table by the window, but as I was a non-smoker and this was a smoking table, I was told I could not sit there So I left... Unbelievably shoddy... More

It is the second time, we have the brunch on Sundays! And this time, it was even better than the last time. Excellent food, wonderful service, creative chef full of passion for his work (with such a varied menu, with the most tasteful pieces of fish, meat, soup, desserts, etc) and all personnel fully up to the task. Sweeping views... More

Although quite a pricy establishment as most of Shanghai restaurant, this one is worth every penny spent. Sensational food from the chefs creations accompanied with matching wines and all this while admiring a beautiful view. Worth a visit!

One of the best brunchs we have had. The restaurant is not big, and has quite an intimate feel to it. The views are fabulous. The food itself was stunning, the buffet was of the highest quality and I liked the fact you could go into the kitchen to choose your main courses. Highly recommended.

Simply put, Jade is consistently one of the best spots in Shanghai thanks to excellent service that begins from the moment you phone for a reservation until the after-dinner drinks. The view is arguably the best in town to see the Puxi bund has you are immediately in front of it and not too high to miss the fine details... More

Best brunch ever, it is on par with many other place in the world, but I think it rates as the best. Food quality is excellent. Your brunch consists of seafood, caviar, lobster, scallops and moves to meat and fine quality products. The kitchen is open and the chef will advise on the various options. The setting as really impressive... More

Up until dessert this was one of our favourite fine dining experiences ever. The canapes were good, our starters were excellent (I had a beetroot salad and my husband had a mackerel salad) and the mains were delicious (first we had Boston lobster in an Indonesian satay sauce and then my husband had Wagyu beef and I had John Dory... We had dinner this week at Jade on 36 In the Shangri La Hotel in Pudong. My overall comments are these. 1. The food was outstanding - it was innovative, beautiful to look at, and delicious to eat. 2. The service was exemplary - we ordered the surprise menu. Since I expressed some food allergies and specific dislikes, the captain... More
