Great lunch place

A very nice chain restaurant to go to. Tons of options to choose from, and all made very well. Try a bunch of things! - and obviously get some dumplings :)

Revisiting this restaurant again. Xiao Long Bao quality is consistently delicious, while the staff responds quickly to our request, and always wears a nice smile on their face. I have to give Taiwanese management a thumbs up for quality service. ( and too often in China, we find excellent food, but, mediocre service). Try the Beef Noodle, the flavor is... More

The attitude of my waiter made it not to appeal a 5 star review. But what makes up for it was the perfect harmony of service sequence and the flavour of the dumplings. A real must for expats.

Whether family or business, it's the cultural dumpling spot for appreciative taste buds. Watch the kitchen through the windows and addictive once tried. Enjoy!

The best dim sum! The dumplings are delicious and what a huge choice. The dumplings in chilli sauce are by far my favourite, I dream about them often!

Best dumplings in town. At least every time I'm in Shanghai, I can't miss a visit. Nice place, nice food, super dumplings. Service is out of European standard just like everywhere else in China, but worth it a visit.

We went twice. Once for dumplings and drunken chicken. We ordered a variety of dumplings and there were all excellent. The drunken chicken has the right flavour, but not cold enough to get the gelatinous wine which usually stick to the chicken. The fresh juices were good. We also has the the sautéed spinach and garlic. The second time was... More

Staying in Xintiandi

Neighborhood Profile
Xintiandi
The refurbishment of a block of old shikumen into a carless entertainment center called Xintiandi, filled with restaurants, shops and bars, turned this area below South Huangpi Road into one of Shanghai’s most fashionable areas. Luxe condos house people who can afford the high-end brands that fill the malls and shops along Madang Road. The pleasant Taipinghu Park provides the area with green space and is also home to Shanghai Fashion Week twice a year. It’s not all glitter and glamour, though, as the rise of Danshui Road has given the Xintiandi area a shot of toned-down character. Small bars and cafes, mostly owned by locals, have people hanging out in a formerly quiet, unassuming part of the neighborhood.
