We were taken to this restaurants by friends. I liked the simple ambiance and the service was friendly and helpful. We ordered a number of dishes including their pork dumplings, hot and sour soup, lots of green vegetables, mushrooms, cucumber and pork chops. Everything was delicious. The serving portions are small but we enjoyed every dish that we ordered. I... More

Truly the best dumplings and one of my favourite dumpling haunts. The location of this place is really great as it is in the centre is xintiandi and located in a reasonably upmarket yet affordable shopping mall. The staff here actually do speak limited English so it's good for foreigners plus their menu is in English and Chinese so very... More

The xiao-long-bao were good but not great. In Shanghai there are better ones. We went because of name recognition like McDonalds. Similarly it is a chain, but a pricey chain. We felt the quality is not as good as 8 years ago in Taipei. Service was average with a couldn't care enough attitude. We were there after 2:00 pm and... More

Chain dim sum, consistent and above average. Easy to find location, best option if your not a local. Pricier than a place I would frequentt unless people are visiting. Easy on most peoples stomachs, so at times worth the extra cost.

My friends insisted that we go to a few places and DIn Tai Fung did not disappoint!! It was my first time having proper soup dumplings called "xiaolongbao". The pork xiaolongbao along with the spicy pork and green onion dumplings were the stars of the show. I also recommend the shredded bean curd dish. The service was impeccable and we... More

We went here because of a recommendation of a friend. Excellent restaurant for eating dumplings and steamed buns whose delicates folds and translucent skins make them one of the best Ive ever ate. Located in Xiantindi a great place to visit.

Outstanding dumplings in all kinds of varieties, pleasant atmosphere, good service. You can even watch the dishes being prepared behind glass walls. We liked it so much that we also went to Din Tai Fung in the World Financial Center.

I'm a big fan of noodle soup and dumplings and DingTaiFung is a favorite place. But the location in Xintiandi (maybe China in general) is very expensive and cannot eat till satisfied without spending over $30 usd. The food is exquisite and good, but overpriced for what it is. I would recommend going to the original store in Taiwan.

Absolutely superb dumplings. And for China, the service was great too! Just be wary of their very strict 21.30 last orders and don't be surprised when you get the bill at 21.31!

If you want to try amazing dumplings this is the right spot! The quality is really good and stands out compared to all the other places we tried in China. Prices are a little higher compared to what you usually pay for dumplings but totally worth it. I would recommend getting the crab and pork dumplings but also the other... More
