This is in the old French Area and is very well known for its dumplings and show mai (spelling). Go before or after the noon and dinner rush and you will get right in and be served a meal you will long remember! The kitchen is behind windows so you can also watch the large group of people making dumplings.... More

They offer very nice Shanghai-style food. Many small dishes and all of them tasty. The menu is western friendly and there are pictures. The prices are high but worth it. The only negative is that the restaurant probably is far too popular, leading to massive lines to enter at peak hours. We had to wait 30 minutes for a table.

This is a chain of dumpling houses that has about 30 locations across Asia. Its home is Taipei, Taiwan. There is a vast selection of dumpling choices from the menu which is in English. It seems to be very popular for both locals and tourists. The food is delicious and the service is decent, but, as usual, do not expect... More

Frequently called the best dumpling restaurant in Shanghai. Excellent service, fantastic dumplings and lots of fun. The only problem was finding the place! The building around it is semi-demolished and the restaurant is not easily found, but the food makes it all worthwhile. Accolades are well deserved!

Always a great experience. Have gone here in the past while on business, and this December it did not disappoint. Always a highlight to my trip. Pork dumplings are a must.

Soup dumplings are the specialty but everything we tried on the menu was delicious. Very clean, top service - best dumplings ever!

we wanted to go to this place already many times, but always simply had to wait too long so we decided to leave. But recently we went there at 11:15 and we could just walk right through. needless to say the dumplings are good,.... but the place is a bit over hyped. this restaurant chain has different branches in the... I had never heard of this chain before my visit to Shanghai but now I may have to spend my life trying ALL the locations after a delicious lunch at the Xintiandi store. Yes, we had to queue for 20 minutes to get in (but it was lunch time) and yes, the décor is rather on the “functional” side, but... More

This was a large restaurant in the upscale Xintandi mall with the entire back wall devoted to a viewing area to watch the dumpling makers at work. It almost looked like a lab but what came out of it can only be described as totally scrumptious- a great dining experience and worth a visit.

Really good Dim Sum. I highly recommend this restaurant. Above average service and the food for the price is untouchable.
