Great Shanghai dumplings!!

My local friends in Shanghai love this place and it is easy to see why - the food is excellent. I love Shanghai dumplings and I was not disappointed. Restaurant is very clean and well run but I would not give the atmosphere top ratings - go for the food! Be prepared to wait for a table - very... read more

It has been built only few years ago, but it's a fake old Shanghai, evrything is brand new but already getting old very fast as new chinese buildings. It's only for tourists where you can find western restaurant and fancy shops. Better stay at home to find same shops.

Very busy, definitely should book. Close location to many pubs and a popular spot for tourists. Service was good and food was delicious. Would recommend a visit.

This place is quite well known and recommended by many. I found it after touring parts of the French Concession one day and arrived at lunchtime. There was an hour wait for a table so I ordered carry out. I tried the pork and hairy crab dumplings and an order of shrimp and mushroom spring rolls. Both were sublime. The... More

A favorite of all the visitors to Shanghai form my company. Located in a high end shopping mall we call The Boot. The dumplings are excellent. We had a variety of dumpling dishes as well as some veggies including Morning Glories (which I especially like). There are menus for the Westerners who visit as well. Absolutely don't miss the soup... More

This was our first trip to China and a colleague had suggested Din Tai Fung as a restaurant we should check out. When we arrived in the Shanghai World Trade Centre location and were escorted to another part of the restaurant. It became immediately apparent that the staff were very strong in English. This restaurant was inspiring: from arrival we... More

Din Tai Fung is excellent Cantonese food what ever city you find it and Xintandi is a fun place to visit - a mix of old and new Shangahai. The hot soup dumplings are so delicious - take a little bite and then suck out the soup but take care it is very hot. Pork buns are also delicous ,... More

We just love coming here for soup dumplings. They are the best. These restaurants are so popular that you generally have to queue for a table but it is worth the wait.
