This was my first visit to Shanghai and I was lucky to be in the company of locals. They took me for lunch here – did all the ordering and we had what can only be described as a banquet. I ate a little of everything that came to the table – and found nothing that wasn’t tasty. In fact... More

This was great place to enjoy dumplings in Shanghai. The ambience was very boutique and warm. The restaurant was busy at lunch time but you will get what you have to wait for. Was very tasy and special. The price was not expensive and worth for value.

Very good in crab dumpling. All of the menu I've ordered is very good. It's on the 3rd floor of the mall

This is a must if you are in the area, you may have to wait for a table, but there are loads of shops to visit while you kill time Believe me it's worth the wait Price is good to, 4 of us with a couple of beers and 30 dumplings, some veg and a fried rice dish was £55

Yum...a few different dishes than what you find in the states. Dumplings (xio long bao) are always consistently good and service is fast and decent. I like that they place a cover over your jacket and purse for protection. The menu has pictures so you can point to what you want if you have any difficulty communicating.

China and Chinese food is one of the best food in the world. Din Tai Fung provides great Chinese food and outstanding service to cater international clients. We went here on vacation and found the place filled with Western businessmen and locals. The place is like a hotel with English speaking waiters. The food is good as how china offers... More

This is in the old French Area and is very well known for its dumplings and show mai (spelling). Go before or after the noon and dinner rush and you will get right in and be served a meal you will long remember! The kitchen is behind windows so you can also watch the large group of people making dumplings.... More

They offer very nice Shanghai-style food. Many small dishes and all of them tasty. The menu is western friendly and there are pictures. The prices are high but worth it. The only negative is that the restaurant probably is far too popular, leading to massive lines to enter at peak hours. We had to wait 30 minutes for a table.

This is a chain of dumpling houses that has about 30 locations across Asia. Its home is Taipei, Taiwan. There is a vast selection of dumpling choices from the menu which is in English. It seems to be very popular for both locals and tourists. The food is delicious and the service is decent, but, as usual, do not expect... More
