Great service, good food

Tried it when I arrived in Shanghai for 2 weeks. Famed for its Xiao long bao, as good as it is reputated to be. Service was great as well, with every request attended to very quickly. Surprised by their fried rice, as the grains were full and distinct, not soggy or lumped together. Together with... read more

Din Tai Fung has some of the best food, especially considering it is a large chain. The Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) are a must. Pork cutlet, fried rice, and so many others are hard to beat. Some might argue they are not authentic enough as the local vendors, but at least you are more assured the quality is high.... More

Din Tai Fung one of the most famous Xiaolongbao shop in the world, I have tried their shops in Taiwan, Shanghai and Hong Kong and of coz their Taiwan shop make the best Xiaolongbao amongst all, but I found most of the branch shops in Shanghai can achieve the similar quality as Taiwan. If you are planning to go to... More

This place is a must visit for every traveller. The food is consistent regardless which city or country you eat in and the service is great. They usually tend to run packed during lunch hours so expect a wait.

Every dish here is good and easy for western palate. The steamed ravioli are the signature dish and you can have with different stuffing: meat, veg, seafood and even truffle. Starters also yummy with spring rolls and drunken chicken between my favorite. Finish with a rice balls with black sesame stuffing in sweet rice wine (tang yuan is the name... More

Everytime I'm in Shanghai, I make it a point to visit Din Tai Fung for dinner at least once. The food is too good to be missed. Go there, try it and enjoy... Fair warning: During peak hours, you will have to wait for quite some time before enjoying their delicious treats.

I've eaten at several locations. The food is always fantastic. I found the atmosphere at the one in Xintiandi wasn't my favorite. You can't go wrong with the food, truly. However, there are better locations. This one didn't have my favorite mango + shaved ice for desert. The service is great, the xiaolongbao is amazing, and the everything else is... More

we went here directly from the buffet breakfast at the Langham, obviously not hungry. We just wanted a comfortable place to sit, drink tea and talk. Since it is a restaurant we had to order a little, so we ordered some siu lum nap, some Shanghaiese braised pork and some veggies. Very good, we were all stuffed when we left.... More

Got friends from out of town and not sure where to bring them? This is the safest choice you can ever have. Wonderful and famous XiaoLongBao soup dumplings, you can always count of people lovin' it. Be warned, countless people have scalded their tongues because they underestimate how hot the soup dumplings can be. The name Din Tai Feng is... More
