We had a lunch in the restaurant after reading several reviews. The food is so so, not up to the standard based on the price. The service was also not very good. Very disappointed. The only thing is good is the location. After we left the restaurant, I had a bad diarrhea about 30 minutes later. Never going to go... More

We went there last saturday. I arrived before my wife (as it often happens!) and our table was a small "starbucks" table under a window. My fault, because I booked a few hours in advance. I asked the manager to move to another table and they re- organized half of the room for me, great!!! They moved us to a... More

We went here on the recommendation of a friend who had been to shanghai before. The location is outstanding with excellent views of the bund lightshow. But the food is mediocre at best. Worst crab cakes I have ever had. I could detect hardly any crab. The salad was great, but most everything else was fried and pretty tasteless. Wine... More

There is a tendency for restaurants on The Bund to take themselves too seriously. Serious is great when you are talking about food ingredients and food preparation. Not so great when you are talking ambiance and atmosphere. The thing about El Willy is that the quality of the food, and it's presentation, is outstanding, whereas the atmosphere in the room... More

I researched a lot about restaurants on the Bund and wanted to look for a restaurant that had a nice view, interesting food, and reasonably priced (for the Bund). El Willy definitely had great food especially since it's not your everyday cuisine. We ordered 2 tapas (beef cannelloni & explosive balik salmon), 1 seasonal veggie dish, and 1 paella (ink... More

I went there because I was tired of chinese food. Well, the tapas were amazing, specially the squids. The bread was warm and tasty too! Wide selection of wines, kind employees and nice ambient. If you wanna breath Spain in China, is the right place where to go.

The girl helped us very much explaining the menu (some times not too clear) and suggested us a very good compbination where we could tast many different dishes. Food... More

Food is excellent, quantities are appropriate and the views to the river are splendid. One of the best Spanish restaurants in Shanghai for sure!

Located just off the Bund, El Willy's was a good option for a business dinner. Dark and atmospheric - the set menu we opted for had a bit of everything and the ingredients seemed excellent. Service was a very attentive. Recommened
