I had to wait like 15 minutes in line ( it was tonight around 6pm) plenty of people. but good food ( well.. a simple restaurant of steamed buns...) and nice people serving.. even if few could speak english ,.. it was a funny experience.

Well deserved reputation. I was taken here by friends who wanted to treat me to the best, and that they did in a private room overlooking the gardens from the third floor. The meal, setting, and, of course, my friends all made for an outstanding experience. To them I am very grateful.

Been hearing about this place. Long queues and we went straight to 3rd floor where queue was much shorter. In summary, both me and my wife thought the xiaolong bao were pretty good. Didnt regret coming here.

Apparently, when you walk in and not stand in the line downstairs, they kind of sort you into "ratings": they send the foreigners into the "high-quality" part, while locals don't even get there. We decided to go to the basic local area - and it was incredible. Great dumplings, really delicious, although took them like 25 mins to serve.

While I was in Shanghai I tried to eat as many different soup dumplings as I could, just to try to find the best. I went to a few different places, but Nanxiang was the best. At first I stood on the long line for the takeaway dumplings, but the man behind me kept pointing to the staircase and saying... More

If you want to eat dumplings this is a decent place to consider. It's close to some tourist attractions and shopping so you don't have to go far to find it. There are several levels to choose from depending on what you want. The ground level is for take away and you have to stand in line and wait for... More

We were so keen to try the famous dumplings here, but even before midday we waited for over an hour to buy the takeaway dumplings. The queue here was a bit messy with people trying to push in before us, and when we we finally reached the counter some people literally shoved money through us to the counters to buy... More

During our recent trip to Shanghai we were determined to try out at least one of the popular landmark restaurants for Xiao Long Bao. The restaurant is located within the Yuyuan Garden which is basically a few streets with a square in the center. The streets are lined with souvenirs and many local street foods. The restaurant is located pretty... More

I was so look forward to the dumplings here.. But I don't think they are really outstanding...taste good but not that good... N one suggestion! You better eat in shop rather then take away since you don't have to wait if you go upstairs but there is the minimum charge for eating inside the restaurant , as I remember it... More
