The steam xiao-long-bao is pretty good, very juicy and steaming hot! The price will depending on what you are getting! Some are reasonable priced (pork meat) and some are way over priced (crab meat). The service is extremely bad from the cashier all the way till the waiter and waitress. The place is not too clean, it's a very local... More

Yes, definitely go here! You'll tell from the line-up (or the white tiled front, red lettering and chinese-written menu hanging on right of entrance. The menu outside lists all the dumplings they make, but the menu hanging above the register (hanging tags they add & remove) is what they have available right then. You'll figure it out by the prices,... More

Basically, this place is a hole in the wall dumpling place, but one of my favorite meals anywhere in the world (proving that good doesn't have to be expensive or fancy). We went to this place twice for dumplings during our time in Shanghai. Even though they have a tripadvisor sign up in the window, this place appears to be... More

I've been coming here for about a year. The dumplings are outstanding. Make sure you order plenty of fresh ginger which is only 1 RMB per order. I have tried all the dumplings & the pure pork are my favorite. There are 12 per order for 13 RMB. They do run out of the pork by late afternoon so I... More

All the xiao long bao that are placed on your table are freshly steamed. Extremely tasty for less than half the price you pay at nanxiang. The xiao long bao at nanxiang are very good too especially those at the 3rd floor. But at rmb 49 for a basket of 6 or 8, they taste at best the same as... More

I've come here a few times over the years when on business in Shanghai. I am impressed by how consistent the quality of their soup dumplings are. It's the best xiao long bao I've ever had, even better than Din Tai Fung (and I've been to their locations in Taipei, Hong Kong and Shanghai). The prices have gone up a... More

It serves soup dumplings. People seem to like it. We thought it was ok, but then we went across the street (see Yang's review). FYI they run out of more popular dumplings as the day progresses.

We have had xiao long bao many times and many places. This is one of the best. It s a small place and that is all they make! We ordered 7 of those and we finished every one of them. Dont miss it. Its hard to find but we were staying at the Marriott hotel in city centre and it... More

I am no expert on soup dumplings, but I have been to Shanghai 5 times, and have tried them at various places, and these are my favourite. A caveat: I do not eat shellfish, so I didn't try everything on the menu.

You know a place is good when the line winds around the street and they sell out of the pork dumplings early! This small dive serves up tasty and piping hot soup dumplings in pork, crab, egg, and fish. Try to make it before 5PM as they often sell out of the pork! You get a basket of dumplings for... More
