Delicious! Must go!

It was so tasty! Leaves din tai fung for dead, and its dirt cheap. The people there are really good with people who don't speak mandarin, and I wish I was more adventurous and tried the blood soup. I had the pork dumplings and bought the extra sauce, which was ginger, and it was sensational! I... read more

Hm..It is not bad taste, but it's for fatty taste lover. You don't have to wait there, since most of dumpling restaurant can serve similar dumpling.

We love xiao long bao. This was our first eating spot when we arrived in Shanghai. First, you can't beat the price, coming from the states, this is dirt cheap! We were lucky, no line at the door, we sat down right away. There were 4 of us, we ordered 3 different fillings, pork, shrimp, and crab. They were good, but... More

Wow! This is absolutely good dumpling restaurant. The price is affordable. The flavour is there and has a thin dough. We found it year 2012 and came back again and again when we are in Shanghai! Always busy and crowded. But worth waiting.

Being a big fan of the Xiao Long Bao I tried it at a number of places during our 3 days in Shanghai. The places we tried prior to Jia Jia Tang Bao were huge disappointments. I thought being the home of XLB that the XLB in Shanghai would be abundant and amazing. That is not the case at all.... More

Steamed dumpling filled with broth. This hole in the wall is the place to get this Shanghainese specialty. Be prepared to wait to be seated. Nobody speaks English in this place, so ask your concierge to write down what you would like to order. The choices for the filling are pork, chicken or crab and pork combo. I recommend the... More

THE GOOD: amazing xiao long bao THE NOT SO GOOD: long lines they run out of dishes later in the day have to pay extra for ginger small location, limited seating. This is one of the best Xiao Long Bao that I have had around the world, the pastry is so delicate and the the flavour of the soup/broth was... More

We got to the restaurant around 11:30 AM and waited about 30 minutes to get inside. We ordered (off the English menu) 3 orders of pork dumplings and were seated at a shared table right away, as they'll only take your order when a seat is available. While waiting for our food, we looked around and thought we've ordered way... More

I was there around lunch time and waited in line for maybe 20 minutes. Based on the reviews I really expected to taste good, rather I was very disappointed. It didn't taste fresh at all.

This place offers delicious soup dumplings. They close when they run out, so go early. They are small and you'll likely have to share a table (we did, both times). If they can tell you don't speak Chinese, they'll pull out an English menu. Be prepared to order fast if there's a line behind you. We had both the pork... More
