Okay restaurant and great bar

The food there is not as good as it used to, but it's still pretty decent. It is slightly overpriced though, but that's getting common in Shanghai for Western food. The bar is still great, the cocktails are really nice, the happy hours are definitely worth a go. Ladies night are fun... read more

Located inside of people Park, the restaurant is an oasis in the middle of a jungle of buildings as Shanghai. The food is Mediterranean, mainly with Spanish influence. Tasty, good balance of flavours and well presented. but the tapas is a bit expensive for the portion served. Some drinks are way to expensive, slow served and with the same quality... More

Me and my husband were today in barbarossa restaurant for lunch, where we could choose between lunch set menu or normal Spanish menu. We chose the lunch menu, which includes a soup, salad, bread, dessert, coffe/tea and had to choose a main course. Our selection was a grilled salmon and a wagyu beef burguer. The burguer was perfectly cooked at... More

I visited with colleagues on a recent business trip. Quite a relaxed but quiet restaurant, not somewhere for a group of friends wanting a lively night out. Decor is lovely, windows look out over the water. Service was polite and helpful if a little slow. We ordered tapas for the 4 of us to share, unsure of how much to... More

We had dinner last night and we tried an amazing paella with good flavour balance. We also tried some tapas, some of them a little bit expensive for the portion served but at least is full of flavours and really nice balanced. The service is quite good, awesome if compared to Chinese serving style. They have western servind and quality... More

Was working in the neighbourhood and had a few drinks after work. Nice place and in tranquil location in the People's Park. The décor inside is also appealing. Probabaly best for a weekend afternoon in the outside area. Make use of Happy Hour(s) to get maximum bang for your buck. It was pretty queit when we went. Only conern was... More

Never ate here, but I've had cocktails here a few times. Great cocktail menu. There's a happy hour five days a week, from 5:00-8:00 when pretty much all drinks are half-price. This is also a hookah/shisha lounge, so it's decorated beautifully, with lots of cushions, ornate woodwork, jewel-toned lamps. If the weather's nice, arrive just before happy hour to get... More

Barbarosa has a great atmosphere in the center of Peoples Square Park. I would recommend coming here during happy hour on the weekdays for a few drinks but definitely avoid the Shisha (hookah) at all cost. It is overpriced and poorly made. We mentioned to our server that the hookah was overly packed, causing a very poor draw and very... More

It's a very nice decorated place in the centre of Shanghai. They serve delicious drinks and it's a good place to go with your friends.
