Mexican restaurants give you complimentary chips and salsa. They give you hushpuppies and cole slaw here for free. Excellent idea! The food was absolutely fantastic! The server we had was very efficient and personable! They have miniature fishing rod and reels on the table as decorations. The service was quick and the prices are lower than expected for what you... More

McDonald's makes better fish. everything was drenched in grease, took a couple of bites and had to leave it was so awful. The worst fish I have ever tasted and that's if you can find it in the batter.

was really expecting better. had passed this restaurant while travelling for years. ate during lunch on a Sunday, slaw was good. hushpuppies were good. catfish was greasy. had a decent flavor but the filets were sitting in grease upon arrival to our table. we ate some filets, paid and left. was nauseous the rest of the day. will not return.

Ate here a few weeks ago while visiting family in the area. Was very excited to have the fried catfish. However, the fish was very muddy tasting and the batter was missing something. I believe it need a touch more salt. To be honest I think Cracker Barrel makes better fish. Was overall let down.

We had shrimp, catfish and chicken strips between the two of us. It was all delicious. The cole slaw and sides were good also. The prices were very reasonable and it was a good amount of food.

Food and service was real good and was pleased to see they had rebuilt it after the tornado but I have not got to eat in the new building but friends tell me that it is as good as always. Looking foward to go back

This is a repost from another site: "Katy's couldnt have found a better person endorse their resturaunt than Mr. Zimmern! After he's through eating the under cooked greasy catfish and cold stuffed crab, he can finish his meal with the cockroaches that decorate the walls and crawl up his pant leg!" I couldn't agree more!!! My family of 6 had... More

if you don't want fried, probably should skip. Other than that...huge catfish filets, hushpuppies can't be beat. Ask before you order two filrts as those are some big catfish. Very friendly and welcoming

Exploring the area during our fall color drive, we decided to try this place based on Tripadvisor reviews. We arrived in time for the daily lunch special, and the food was delicious! Cajun catfish were fillets fried in a crunchy spicy batter, tender turnip greens cooked perfectly, Country fried steak with white gravy, lots of mashed potatoes/gravy, and the hushpuppies... More
