We were traveling on a long driving trip, and had a night stay in Prattville. After 12 hours on the road everyone was hungry and cranky. The family wanted barbeque so we pulled up Tripadvisor and found this place. It is a bit tricky to find (right off a main road) but well worth it. Everyone ordered something different and... More

We were in town visiting some of the parks and since it was Memorial Weekend I had looked to see if there were any BBQ Restaurants in the area - I spotted Fat Boys on the list and looked it up and put it in the back of mind in case we didn't find another location where we wanted to... More

The best thing about Fat Boy's are the sides - all made from scratch and very flavorful. We had french fries, coleslaw, baked beans and the surprising hearty and smoky camp stew. The fried pies and peach cobbler are also excellent. Both couples in our party had the sampler platter which came with 6 meats and 3 sides. The meats... More

I truly enjoyed the food and atmosphere here...I noticed on the beef brisket, which was finally chopped that there was NO fat on the plate--what a change from the other bbq places in town, who love to serve up lots of grissle and fat with their entrees! They are great for big groups--it didn't phase them one bit that we... More

This place is friendly and what you would expect out of a small town....smoke rising out of the smokers...it is cooked fresh on-site. It is a little pricey, but the portions are reasonable. Not the all-time best BBQ I've ever had...but it IS the best I've had in Montgomery, AL (I'm from Texas).

I have lived all over the south, and these folks are the nicest I have ever met. They have great BBQ and the recipes she uses for here deserts are her Great Grandmothers. This is a great place to stop by and relax with some good smoke house BBQ. We went back the next day just to have some more,... More

To begin with, allow me to explain that I've had some of the best BBQ the south has to offer, and from Texas to Memphis, I have never been as disappointed as I was when I visited the Fat Boy's BBQ Ranch. Not only was the meal exorbitantly expensive, but the poritions left me and my family still hungry. We're... More

It seems that the reviewer has described our "Kids plate" that is designed for kids up to 7yrs. old. Our baked beans are an industry standard portion size that are made with 8 different ingredients in our kitchen daily. More

There are several BBQ places in town but none provide the quality of BBQ, excellent service, and desserts like Fat Boys. Danny and Gretchen are the owners and they treat everyone like family. You have a choice of pork, beef or chicken. Their ribs are great. You seat yourself, self-serve your choice of drink, clear your table, have a choice... More
