BBQ!

Stopped for dinner - good food, great service! The classic pulled pork was so good it didn't need any sauce! Also had the hot links - very good. This was a two meat platter and had to have a take out container to take home a full hot link and a half of one - I was stuffed! Oh, almost... read more

A big group of us went here on a weeknight. Once we were seated we ordered drinks and appetizers. Water took 40 minutes and drinks from the bar were another 15 minutes behind that. One person received the wrong beer and the waitress apologized, but didn't take it off the bill or replace it with the correct one. It was... More

Visited with family, including 2 kids. Wait for our food was way longer than it should have been. Most disappointing was my soup and salad - very small salad and about a half of a cup of brunswick stew for $8.25. Really? Up that portion to a bowl or lower the price, people. Hubby's bbq was full of fat, too.... More

Not going to lie, when Jim and Nicks first started they were in Birmingham and they had great prices and greater portions. I"m an "if it ain't broke, don't fixi it" kinda girl. They had a homerun with what they already had.

Had dinner after driving all day on our way to Florida. Very good BBQ at a fair price. Busy place. Good service.

Food was good. Had to wait a little longer than expected with a group of people. Had the loaded potato lunch portion and it was plenty.

As a Kansas native and a longtime North Carolina resident, I've had the good fortune of alternating between the yin and yang of smoked Valhalla. As such, I can't say that Alabama BBQ much impressed me--my pulled pork at Jim 'n Nick's was too sweet and otherwise a bit lacking in flavor (and I can't imagine the abomination that is... More

Since our first visit to a Jim 'n Nick's BBQ was so very good, we decided to stop at the one in Prattville on our way home from Birmingham. We wanted to try other things on their menu, but there were three things we wanted to try again. We ordered the house made lemonade and the house made pickles and... More

Jim 'n Nick's is almost always busy--but it's worth waiting for. The BBQ is good, staff works very hard. Atmosphere is loud on busy nights, so don't come if you want a quiet atmosphere to talk! BBQ salads are awesome; BBQ baked potatoes are huge! Great sweet tea--love the crushed ice. Best thing overall is the cheese biscuits and honey... More
