different from home

Tried the combo plate of pulled pork and chicken. Pork not remarkable but chicken very good. Had collards as a side and they were very good, not offered back home. Of real note is the bisquits they bring you with whipped butter. Could have just them and would have been happy.

This Restaurant is part of a chain of restaurants confined to the State of Alabama. If you love great barbecue, this is a must visit for you. They serve more than just barbecue and all of their dishes that we have tried are delightful.

Front desk at Hampton suggested Jim 'N Nicks as one of several good places to eat within walking distance. I was alone and sat at the bar and was instantly provided a glass of water and warm corn muffins. I ordered the brisket which was excellent. Although a BBQ restaurant, the bar specializes in bourbon and had at least two... More

The food was good. Not the best BBQ we've ever had, but good enough. The sauce selection is greatly lacking. They have 2 sauces, both of which are spicy sauces. No sweet, no tangy, just spicy. Our waitress had absolutely no knowledge of the specials (prime rib sandwich), seemed rather disinterested in being at work, and screwed up a few... More

Good food and a wide menu. The little biscuits are heavnly. This is a great place to eat and it is crowded.

Walked in and I noticed that the place has a booming lunch crowd. The hostess promptly seated my sister and I, and the server was 20 second behind. The server, Kristin, was a true patient doll. How do you explain vegetarian options in the Paleo heaven? Everything except the mac and cheese, pimento cheese sandwich, and coleslaw has meat. To... More

We always stop at a Jim 'N Nicks as we pass through Alabama . Great service, yummy food (kids loved the Mac and Cheese, pimento cheese), the cheese biscuits are so delicious.

Our first visit and we were really impressed. Food was excellent as well as the service. In our trio, we had beef brisket, pulled pork, and salad. We have been staying in the area at Sleep Inn for a few years now and this is the first time we at here. we are sure glad we did and will return.

My family and I stopped at this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon at 2:30. We really did not expect it to be busy but the restaurant was almost full. Our waitress came to our table breathless because she was waiting on so many tables. She mixed up our drinks when she returned. Our food was not the best bar-b-q I... More

Just had lunch which tasted delicious. The piggy tater was great. The only problem was the waiter seemed to have NO interest in serving our table. We waited 10-15 minutes after ordering before ANOTHER staff member brought muffins. Our waiter passed our table numerous times without bringing any while others around us received their second basket. He was VERY interested... More
