Southern friendliness with excellent food!

A group of us visited Uncle Mick's for dinner and were blown away by the food. The alligator and dirty rice is a must try along with the desserts. You order your food cafeteria style and sit wherever but since we had a large group we made a booking.

I eat Cajun food as often as I can and this is some of the best I have ever eaten. The restaurant offers a dinner plate which comes with an entrée and two side dishes but I opted for two bowls and no sides. I am sure the side dishes are wonderful but for only a dollar or two more... More

My husband and I stopped here with my parents (my Dad is VERY PICKY and has something negative to say about every eatery we go to), we all LOVED IT, and even my dad cannot wait to go back! we got to taste everything before we picked our food, and it was hard to pick because everything was fabulous!!

$10 for an entrée and a couple of sides served cafeteria style on a paper plate may seem a little step, but the taste was awesome. They even let you try samples to see if it is something you'll like before ordering up a full plate.

We decided to try Uncle Micks after reading about it. It was as good as if not better than food we had gotten in New Orleans. We drove 2 hours to get there and it was worth the trip. I will be going back. By the way the service was as great as the food.

I am not personally a fan of cajun food myself, but my husband loves it. I insisted that we stop there for lunch. We have carefully searched out every restaurant we have visited on this particular vacation. The owner is a super guy that insists you try samples to help you make your selection. You order your food at the... More

My husband ate at Uncle Mick's a year ago and I have been waiting for my turn ever since! The food was not a disappointment! Chicken and sausage gumbo, crabmeat au gratin, corn maque choux, Cajun potato salad - yum! Hot fresh garlic bread and tempting dessert selections round out the meal. There are seafood dishes as well. The food... More

My husband has been trying to get me to dine with him for lunch at Uncle Mick's; but it took a business lunch to get me into the restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by the great taste of the food!! Not too hot and very flavorful! Friendly service and taste testing is welcome. Don't pass on the garlic bread! Kudos... More

Uncle Micks is a gem! Delicious food and fantastic customer service. We always order several dishes and share. There's nothing better on a cool night in a bowl of crawfish etufee and gumbo from uncle micks!

This was our first visit. My boyfriend is a big fan of cajun food but I am not. However, I really enjoyed this place. The owner comes around and speaks to ever table. The food was delicious. My favorites were the Shrimp ala creme and the corn masque choux. Many reviews recommended the crabmeat au gratin which I did not... More
