EXCELLENT LOCAL EATERY

We live locally and I can't believe it took us so long to give Uncle Mick's a try. It is amazing. The only downside to this restaurant is that they don't also serve beer which would taste great with the food. The people here are sooo friendly and treat you like you are there personal guest. Yesterday we had a tasty Cajun lunch at Uncle Mick's in Prattville. If you haven't been there, give it a try. Uncle Mick was serving. The food is offered buffet style. He asked if we had been there before. We hadn't, so he gave us some samples of the various dishes. He also split entrees in half-size so you can... More

Can't say enough good things about this place. The food is still the best we've had since moving to the area 5 years ago.

I had the opportunity to visit a small taste of home! Living in another state and raised in louisiana, I rarely find a restaurant that serve good creole food until now! Uncle Mics gives you a cajun environment with great creole cuisine! You get a chance to sample various dishes with authentic flavors. I must say that some items were... More

Went on a Monday with business associates. Mick was genuine and the cajun food is by far the best in Alabama. Welcoming home environment and high quality food.

The food was outstanding. We decided stopping in and eatting lunch as we were in town for the mardi gras. They give you sample and everything I tasted was amazing. I had the shrimp a la creme and it was fabulous. My daddy's favorite thing was the Cajun potatoes salad. We will be back very soon. My favorite place to... More

Have to say I was excited from the beginning, going to a Trip Advisor Number 1 listing for several years. And it is true. What an experience. Staff is friendly and want to please you. Wasn't sure what the sampling meant, but it is truly genuine. Mick wants you to taste things - and it is a great way to... More

First, it is easy to find this place from Interstate 65. There are no twists and turns just a straight shot to downtown Prattville. Just take Exit 179 and head west about 10 minutes, you'll be glad you did. It is counter service with the food on a steam table. Don't be put off by this since the serving trays... More
