Uncle Mick's is the most authentic Cajun/Creole meal, outside of Lousiana!! Off the beaten path, but simple to get to, the étouffée and gumbo are outstanding!! Mick is quite the charmer and greets everyone like you just walked into his kitchen!!! A must stop if you are ever on I-65 at Prattville...even if you are in the area, it is... More

Best Cajun food I've had outside of Louisiana! You can even sample things if you are unsure what to order! Great staff, clean in all areas, and superb food at a great price! Highly recommended!

I absolutely love Uncle Mick's!! They really care about the customers. They let you sample the food before you order it to make sure you will like it. The food is great and the service is great. Located in historic downtown Prattville, great location.

The server will let you try anything they make that day and the food is always good and very reasonable. I have never had a bad meal in many years. You... More

A group of us visited Uncle Mick's for dinner and were blown away by the food. The alligator and dirty rice is a must try along with the desserts. You order your food cafeteria style and sit wherever but since we had a large group we made a booking.

My husband and I stopped here with my parents (my Dad is VERY PICKY and has something negative to say about every eatery we go to), we all LOVED IT, and even my dad cannot wait to go back! we got to taste everything before we picked our food, and it was hard to pick because everything was fabulous!!

$10 for an entrée and a couple of sides served cafeteria style on a paper plate may seem a little step, but the taste was awesome. They even let you try samples to see if it is something you'll like before ordering up a full plate.
