Great food, lovely atmosphere. We so enjoyed visiting with the owners. The creme brulee was fabulous. I just loved the experience of "taking tea" is such a great place.

So many types of tea! Wonderful queens tea. I take friends here every time they visit. Can't say how nice it is.

This was our first trip to the Smith-Byrd house & we were not disappointed! We (my Mom, my Sister & myself) love tea rooms but unfortunately there are no longer any legit ones in our area, so we were excited to give the Smith-Byrd house a try. It really was fantastic! It's in a beautiful old Southern home (which is... More

Along with 6 other ladies in my book club, I enjoyed the Queen's tea (More than one can eat at one sitting, but some was taken home with me.) at the Smith-Byrd Hoouse, After ordering many varieties of tea from their substantial list, we had great fun tasting just some of the many offerings there. Dave & Beth, we have been regulars for over a year now and we love everything about your Tea Room and B&B. You are always so helpful in explaining the flavors of your teas and giving an explanation of the sandwiches and scones. Most of all, we love the atmosphere and quaintness of your tea room. We are so thrilled... More

For those who think afternoon tea is just for little old blue-haired ladies, please try the Smith-Byrd House Tea Room and any other tea room you can find - you will be amazed at what a leisurely "spot of tea" will do for jangled nerves or for just an... Incomparable home made lavender cookies, exquisite taste. Wonderful range of teas. David and Beth have made this as authentic an experience of an English Tea Room as possible. They also run a B&B there. Full info on their website.
