Whatever you do, DO NOT leave Point Clear without tasting the absolutely delicious Key Lime Bread Pudding which may sound terrible but is wonderful as is all the food here. Great service, quirky decorating adds a layer of charm. Excellent drinks as well. A must when in the area

After several referrals we were excited to try the wash house. Our waiter handed us the menus and returned several minutes later and wanted to know what we wanted. We both ordered fish. My red fish was undercooked and I sent it back. It was returned cooked to the correct temp. We asked for wine pairing suggestions and got very... More

Wonderful atmosphere, great food and nice service . We didn't know what to expect going to the Wash House but were we ever presently surprised at how nice and wonderful the food was. I highly recommend this for a good evening out with husband or wife or date.

On scenic US 98 there is a small restaurant. Enter into the old kitchen at the rear of the house. Seated at a table in the elegant surroundings, you should order the gumbo to get started, a margarita to "wet your whistle" and the Chateaubriand. After you order, the waiter will bring to you a plate of the best soft... More

This place is totally the bee's knees. The server was fantastic! I'm not a red wine fan and I had 3 glasses of the stuff they gave us! The chateaubriand melted in my mouth and cut with my fork. I've never had a better meal anywhere in the south. The fried oyster lettuce wraps were also incredible!

Even slightly strained service Sunday night could not diminish this hidden jewel of a spot that's a mile below the Grand Hotel. Pate appetizer, wedge salad, scallop and cobia entrees, and fine Grayson Cabernet --all well served. A cordial crowd of friendly folks added to the fun of it all. Our third trip with never a disappointment.

I didn't actually have the experience of dining here but several of our attendees did and gave it rave reviews. I will make plans to try it next time.

I had called for a reservation on Dec. 22 our first night flying in. When I called I left a message and the restaurant got back to confirm right away very impressed! We had a very late flight - cancellations Dec. 22 so when I realized dinner was not going to work I called left a message to reschedule and... More

I have driven by this place since some time in the early 1990's. We spent our summer vacations in Fort Morgan and came to the Punta Clara Candy Company for their wonderful confections. I always wondered about the "Wash House" restaurant sitting behind the Victorian house but never had the opportunity to eat there....until now. Well folks, like everyone else... More

Our dining experience was spectacular. The food was "out of this world". The service was great and the atmosphere was genuine. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
