The minute you step inside you are transported back to a time when kids remained seating during dinner and waiters wore white jackets. It is casual elegance and fine dining all wrapped into one. While there is no dress code, you will see families in their resort finery. There are no bad dishes, the wine list is very respectable and... More

I have been here a few times. The amazing food combinations always blow my mind. I am a picky eater and always have plenty of incredible food options.

This little gem was noisy, bustling and had great food. Tucked in behind a candy store, it seemed all about the locals, but we were glad we found it. Recommended by a local fisherman... it had a stellar menu. Service was perfect, food was prepared perfectly. We were all thrilled. Except we couldn't hear ourselves talk across the table. Suggest... Delightful birthday dinner with my family. We ordered chateaubriand and cobia - Very relaxed and romantic setting. We were seated next to the fireplace - lighting was very calming. Enjoyed the dessert platter to share with 4 people. One the best meals ever.

Lived here 13 years and last night we had dinner at The Wash. House for the first time. Wife and I were both underwhelmed. First off, the price is what it is. If you don't want to pay it, don't go there. Liked the space, plenty of room between tables and place was quiet. Service was on the low side... More

Ask to sit inside. The outside area (not really outside, but looks like it was a garage - looks nice, but very loud). The two gentleman at our table ordered the chateaubriand and that too was delicious.

The Wash House is excellent. From the atmosphere to the food it's first class. The service is friendly and knowledgeable without being overbearing. The wine list is extensive and the food is awesome. We always get the fresh catch and usually add a soft shell crab on top. The oysters are a great appetizer. It's expensive but worth every penny.... More

We made reservations for the Wash House during a short trip to Fairhope. Apparently my husband used to take dates here during his bachelor days in Alabama. I can see why. It's a beautiful restaurant with a good wine list and knowledgeable servers. I had the crab cakes and the Wash House salad. My husband had gumbo and fish (which... More
