Great food! Very personal service!

We found Nino's when we stopped for dinner on our way to Destin. What a great find it was! The food was great. The owners, Walter and Chris, came out and sat with us and chatted. Had the meat tortellini with meat sauce, it was okay. It didn't really have much flavor. I added a lot pepper flakes and parmesan cheese. Kids got the calzones, they were huge. Two had the meat and one had cheese. They all said they really enjoyed them.

4 diners. Three ordered eggplant parmigiana. One ordered sausage with penne. Eggplant was reasonably priced. Came with a salad. We all chose the house tomato dressing for our accompanying salad. Crisp greens with some mozzarella cheese. Dinners also came with a soft drink and garlic toast.

Service was awesome. Michelle at the counter was awesome at helping us make our selection which was difficult because of so many delicious sounding items. I settles on the antipasto salad and enjoyed every bite. My buddy got the shrimp & scallops in an Alfredo sauce. Delicious!!!

It is not your traditional sit-down restaurant, but it works and tastes great. You walk in and order at the counter then find your seat. It was a super busy night and the food really came out fast and was excellent. The lobster ravioli with the pink sauce was fabulous! Everyone enjoyed their meals and there was plenty of food.... Food was fine but not outstanding. Employees were nice. Would go back but think there are better restaurants in Pelham.

We had a calzone, pasta with sausage and salads. The house vinaigrette dressing was very good and the salad veggies were fresh and abundant. The calzone was green peppers, onion and sausage...came with lots of mozzarella and the sauce had a decent kick to it. Same for the pasta and sausage. Look forward to a return trip.

Okay. So this isn't Italy. But for a decent Italian meal in the Birmingham area, Nino's is very good. They do a fine job on the traditional dishes and we often pick up pizza here whenever we're in town.

I called in an order of the veal parmesan to go with an order of meatballs on the side. The veal was a little on the tough side and it had too much sauce on it. The owner seems very accommodating and I will ask next time for light sauce. it's a fun place to go, you order at the... More

The place doesn't scream "Stop here" as you drive past. So, let me tell you. Stop here! Order at the counter and take a minute to look over the menu if you'd like. Sit down and enjoy your salad and some buttered, toasted bread while you wait on your food. My eggplant parmigiana hit the spot for me. My dad... More
