Off the beaten path on Canal Road in Orange Beach, Cosmo's Restaurant & Bar is far from ordinary. Serving fresh and eclectic food since day one, Cosmo's features a wide range of dining, enticing even the most discriminate. Using chef inspired ingredients, you can enjoy everything from hand-cut steaks and local seafood to pastas and sushi. This neighborhood favorite has taken cuisine to the cutting edge. With variations of local staples, their versions will make you sit back and take notice. Culinary greats such as the chicken roulade wrapped in bacon, the sesame seared tuna salad and the traditional crab cakes done with a twist, will have you wanting more. And to top it all off, The Year of Alabama Food named their Banana Leaf Wrapped Fish as one of "the top 100 dishes to eat before you die." This epicurean delight is just one of the many masterpieces created daily in this out-of-the-way hot spot.

Awesome seabass

The Chilean sea bass wrapped in banana leaves was the best sea bass my husband said he has ever eaten. When we told the waitress how well we liked it, she said it was listed in Southern Living's "50 dishes to eat before you die". But note, the chef is extremely picky and won't buy sea bass unless... read more

Duck &andouille gumbo had crab boil in it and was not up to this cajun's expectations, blackened catfish was not seasoned for this type of dish. The restaurant did not meet our expectations

Very laid back staff with enough elbow room to enjoy some privacy. Specializing in seafood, the menu was varied and tasty. The key lime pie was a nit different: more sweet than tart, but good just the same.

Kind of hidden off of Canal Road, it is worth the effort to find! Went for a late lunch and drinks last Saturday. A little to chilly to sit outside (they have great outdoor seating), we sat at a high top in the bar. Sampled two appetizers. My wife had skewered shrimp over risotto, one person had "Fish Tacos"(they are... More

We decided to stop in at Cosmo's for lunch on Saturday and I'm glad we did! It was eccentrically decorated and had an overall nice atmosphere. The dog paintings all over were a nice touch of character. The food was great as well! Everything was well plated and tasted excellent with a unique, unexpected flavor. Surprises aren't always nice when... More

Menu is varied, however oysters are only fried. The early bird menu is a deal and well worth it. Vegetables excellent. Crème Brule excellent. Presentation excellent. It can be a little noisy early evening. Service was attentive. I would recommend the catfish. We will return.

I love Cosmo's! The food is good, the servers are nice, and the arts and craft store next to the restaurant is wonderful. Thanks for the experience!

Stopped in for dinner after a movie and had a very nice evening. We have had dinner here in the past several times but had not been here in 2 years...no disappointments. Service was prompt and attentive. Our server (Lee) was the best. Food came out of the kitchen within an acceptable time and was fresh and hot. They also have... More

Went here for the "Early Bird" special and found the taster portions to be larger than we expected and wonderfully tasty. We shared 3 dishes, Calamari, Crab Cakes and firecracker shrimp and they were all wonderful. The shrimp like other places in the Orange Beach area were tender and sweet.
