Great food, bad hostess experience.

First visit. We went in with a sleeping child and asked for a booth. The hostess said it would just be a minute for a booth to be cleaned. A party of 8 came in after us and they were given a pager. They were given our booth and the one next to it, even after they were told it... read more

This was a very enjoyable meal. It was pricey, but worth it. I got a strawberry margarita, which was the only disappointing part of the meal. It was too syrupy sweet, and not strong at all. We each ordered a cup of gumbo. Our waiter was very nice when my daughter expressed concern over how spicy the gumbo could be.... More

We had dinner there and the food was excellent. Fresh steamed seafood! My husband had the Reds and I had crab stuffed shrimp. Both were excellent! Service was great, waitress helped my husband on proper shrimp peeling!

We had decided to go to the Steamer because of the great reviews on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. The gumbo was flavorful. They did not skimp on the seafood in it. I ordered the fresh catch of the day, which was the grouper. It was a good sized fillet cooked just right. My wife and daughter shared steamed shrimp... More

We went there with eight couples. The restaurant is very casual. The shrimp is outstanding! Everyone raved about the crab legs as well. My husband had the red snapper, and it was delicious! All meals are served with corn on the cob (nothing special), slaw (it's ok), and red potatoes (yum). We heard the Key Lime pie is wonderful, but... More

This place was awesome! Casual atmosphere and superb food. Nothing fried which was nice for us. The royal red shrimp was our favorite, but we also ordered blackened Mahi Mahi and a filet to spilt- hard to say which was the best. Service was fantastic as well!

It was a really good change of pace going from fried foods to steamed. My wife loved the steamed royal reds and crab legs. My son had the steamed shrimp and he thought it was too much work. I had the stuffed shrimp and crab. It was awesome.
