New Year's Eve

Early dinner to beat the New Year's Eve crowd. Food & service is good, good to get away from all the fried food. Royal Reds and catch-of-the-day were both good. Standard red potatoes and slaw with all entrees is the one negative.

My husband and I absolutely loved our food from this restaurant. Everything was steamed and so delicious. This was my first time eating clams and I loved the way they were cooked. We also had corn sausage and potatoes!!

I always get the platters when we go to Steamers, but last week, I opted for the burger. It was fantastic! This place truly is great at everything!

We came to gulf shores for New Years wanting good food and relaxation. Here we are the BEST baked oysters Rockefeller and steamed crab legs! It is a very casual place! We had butter dripping everywhere and it was delicious! Just really good seafood

We came in and sat at the bar and were served by Tara. She was so nice and fun to talk to. She had a great attitude and had good recommendations on food. We ate the crab clusters and had some drinks. We also met some of the regulars and enjoyed talking with them. Excellent service Tara! Thank you!

Restaurant was not busy as it was a raining +++. It was obvious that the young man who greeted us was not happy being at work. He was more interested in using his cell-phone than making sure that we were seated comfortably. The food was good buy pricey - tried gumbo, jambalaya and oysters. We have had better elsewhere.

I don't hand out "terrible" rankings often, but this is one place that deserves that moniker. Sure, you can get Royal Red shrimp here, but they will smell funny and taste no better than the frozen supermarket shrimp from Vietnam. My experience was almost universally negative, sadly. Not only was the food expensive and awful, the service was nearly non-existent... More

I grew up on the gulf coast raised on seafood and was expecting so much and was so disappointed by this place. We ordered the small steamer and shared, was so excited to get crab and shrimp, shrimp were mealy and tasted old, if you are not ready to have the heads on, be prepared. Waitress could never be found... More

Was in town the week of Thanksgiving and decided to check out Gulf Shores Steamers. We ordered steak and royal red shrimp. The steak was cooked perfectly. We had never tried royal reds before. They were delicious, cooked perfect and easy to peel. We stayed 4 days and it was the best meal of our trip. Next time we are... More

As the date says, kind of off season. We decided to go to Gulf Shores Steamers for dinner. The place looked clean. We sat outside at the tables that overlook the marina harbor. The Gumbo was very good. Not real spicy hot, just right for our taste. Both of our dinners were very good. Nice sized portions. We definitely left... More
