Just to be clear I recommend Live Bait II at the Wharf for the upscale, trendy yacht-like feel. I'd recommend for date, to impress out of town guests and for ambiance. The food however is overpriced, overly seasoned and not on par w/Villagios Grille just across the street. more

Arriving in the Orange Beach area and looking for a bite to eat after getting off the plane, we ended up at Live Bait for lunch. In October for lunch on a Wednesday, the place was dead. There were two other tables with customers out of the whole place. Our server was very nice, with no weird humor that was... more

Beware, Live Bait is not a place to party unless you want to spend a night in the local jail. Four reputable young men in Orange Beach for a golfing weekend decided to WALK to Live Bait for some drinks after watching the Auburn football game. They were harrassed and shortly after one was arrested for public intoxication. IN A... more

We stopped into this restaurant today for lunch. A party of 2 seated at a table with 6 chairs is a little dumb. Lots of places more appropiate were available. Waiter tried to be a comedian and took our orders. This place is very loud and everybody tries to outscream the table next to them. Lots of construction and local... more

Live Bait was just ok. I was very excited to go because I looked at the website and looked great, but I was disappointed! The food was wayyy over priced, and the service was pretty good. I don't think I would go back. more

The food was great & you get a good portion. Pecan crusted talapia was excellant. Large amount of food on seafood platter. The service was just ok...thought our waiter was a little weird. more

Food was ok. I thought the portion size was small compared to the price. Resturant is kid friendly so very loud. more

We had lunch at Live Bait last week, and were blown away by the huge portion sizes, great service ( Sara F was just incredible and would have something there before we even needed it) and food quality and low prices. We ordered the onion peels for an appitiser and it could have fed 8 people easily. The kids and... more

My husband and I ate here in January 2009. I had the buffalo wings for an appetizer. They were very good. They don't seem hot at first, but your lips tell you they sre. Lol. I had the Seafood Gumbo for my main course, DELICIOUS. The restaurant wasn't packed, so it was a very realxed atmosphere. The picture of my... more
