Really great service. Food is fine.

Great atmosphere and the staff could not be more friendly. Food is average. Nothing great, but not bad. Good reasonably priced lunch place. Have not tried dinner there.

They have the best oysters and during happy hour they are half price which makes them taste that much better. Oysters are as cold as the beer which they have a nice selection. The young man who shucked oysters was fun to talk to. Service always friendly.

Choosing a place like Orange Beach for our spring break, we knew we would eat well (and lots of seafood) and Wintzell's was our first stop. From the splurge of the fried crab claws to the seafood platter, everything was great! My kids loved their pasta & shrimp, my husband loved his Gulf shrimp and, having grown up on the... More

The oysters are shucked fresh for you, right at the bar. Delicious! Service was top-notch, too. We liked the variety of the menu, so much more than oysters, and a nice selection of side dishes ( like collard greens). This restaurant is quieter, since it is off the Hwy 59 corridor, but worth the short drive.

We always go out to eat the night we take family beach pictures.. a family of strong personalities, everyone wanted something different.. I just gave up and pulled in Wintzell's parking lot to stunned silence from my family.. went inside and was welcomed by the sweetest, most genuine woman we saw all week! She seated us in a big old... Ordered the fried seafood platter--good seafood, alittle more batter than I would like but very tasty. The fries were very average- in fact very bland. Need to spice up the fries. My wife had a hamburger and it was great. A great hamburger in an oyster house!! Atmosphere was very pleasant and the prices were appropriate. Would return and would... More

Great happy hour value. Oysters are wonderful. Dinner prices are a little high but nice place to try.

We have been coming to Orange Beach in Jan &/or Feb for years but we missed last year. This year we have found that the happy hour oysters on the half shell at Wintzell's for $7.50/dz are still the best value in Orange Beach. They were good both times we had them this month. Fried green bean happy hour appetizer... More

Ordered fried oysters and a plain baked potato. Oysters were fine. The potato came with a small container of sour cream and a container of "whipped spread". The Whipped Spread had more than 10 chemical ingredients. I asked the waitress for some butter. She returned to say the chef had only liquid margarine or the whipped spread. Yikes! Whoever heard... We ate here Sunday evening about 7:30 and it was not crowded. My wife had jumbo shrimp with salad and fries. I had the fish and shrimp combo with slaw and fried okra. The waitress was nice and prompt and the food came out in a short while. Everything we ordered was very good, nothing bad about the visit. They... More
