This restaurant has had a fire that consumed most of the interior a few months back and has been closed ever since with no attempts to repair.

Ate luinch before a Bama home football game. The place was almost empty. This used to be a good place to eat. The food was bland and almost talteless. I went to the men's room after eating. I observed an employee take a leak and walk out of the rest room and did not wash his hands. I reported this... More

We drove the hour to get here because of a Groupon and because we've loved the one's in Montgomery and Mobile. We arrived just after noon on a Sunday to an almost empty restaurant. It is a rustic restaurant with the concrete floors and what could have been a lovely view of the river had they bothered to clean the... More

Wintzel's Northport went from okay to poor in a short span of time. I don't know anyone who recommends Wintzels anymore. After several mediocre trips, being served rotting crawfish was the last straw. I will not be going back under my own free will.

Being a liker of Wintizell's down in Mobile, I decided to give the Northport location a try. I entered about 2 pm on a Sunday afternoon t an almost completely empty facility. It took almost 10 minutes for a server to come to the table with the menu. When I asked about beer avaibility, she said the list was in... More

We ate at the Wintzell's Oyster House in North Port on our way home from a July 4th break. It was nice to sit in the cool restaurant and look at the river. The waitress was super attentive but there weren't many folks there, either. We had the smoked tuna dip which was good as always and I had the... More

I ate at the Northport Alabama location. I had a cajun seafood pasta dish and my companion had a fried dish with a variety of different seafood items. I can say that I was expecting a little "zing" to my cajun seafood dish since it was "Cajun" but in general it was kind of bland. It wasn't bad but not... More

Traveling from Arkansas to the Emerald Coast, we took a little different path and ended up staying overnight in Saraland - a few miles north of Mobile. Just happened to stay near Wintzell's, so we opted for that, and we were SO glad we did. We decided to split the broiled seafood platter - fish, scallops, shrimp, and oysters. Wow!... More

Family in for lunch on Mother's Day. Boy was that a mistake. Was greeted withHappy Mother's Day and each mother gets a free bread pudding but we are out of the sauce. We ordered crab claws and onion rings for appetizers and glad we did as our meals were disappointing. Oyster Sampler was not hot nor were the potatoes. Blackened... More

We enjoyed lunch at this location. It has Great atmosphere and a beautiful view of the river. We had appetizers and entrees and each was very good. The servers were professional and attentive. We will definitely return to this location.
