Nice atmosphere with good food.

An enjoyable meal with a tasteful setting in a quaint town. A few minutes from Birmingham. Food was American contemporary (meat and fish). The appetizers (especially the soup) was very good. All food was presented in a decorative culinary fashion. Each main course was delectable. Wines by the glass... read more

Five of us met here for dinner on the business trip, but there were several couples here enjoying a romantic evening. I had the grouper, and everyone enjoyed their meal. The menu changes seasonally. You’ll need reservations.

Mom and I met Gary and Janet for dinner, last night. Every time we go to dg, it's a wonderful experience. During the week, when we go, it's usually more lightly attended as it was last night. Some of the larger spots are so loud. The competition is fierce in Birmingham but the cream always rises to the top. dg... More

Menu was abbreviated due to the occasion...we got to choose an appetizer, entree and dessert for $75. Food was very good but over-priced. Our server was outstanding but service between courses was very slow. We were both offered a free glass of wine because the chef got behind and we had to wait so long for dessert. This is not... Daniel George is an outstanding restaurant with a fabulous menu and wine list. When we have a birthday, anniversary, or some special occassion, this is our first choice in Birmingham. The service is superb, the atmostphere is quiet and relaxing, and the food is always excellent. We have never had a bad meal or poor experience. DG is a little... More

We found DG by accident on a recent visit to Birmingham and had a delightful lunch! Wow, our palates were quite satisfied with the wide variety of local offerings presented in perfect portions, with subtle, creative seasoning and nice preparation. The atmosphere was very comfortably "southern", very gentile, yet not stuffy. This place is a great find!!!

The menu, food, and server was good. A little slow but not bad for fresh-farm to table cuisine. It is priced about right for the area. Okra was very good.

We stumbled into this restaurant by accident and were so very pleased. The atmosphere is beautiful, the service excellent, and the food delicious. We had very good cocktails, followed by a shared fresh mixed greens salad. I selected the pork piccata with broccolini, roasted fingerlings and caper meuniere. My husband had the chicken breast with succotash, okra, bacon and roasted... More

I recently had the pleasure of being taken to the Daniel George Restaurant for lunch to celebrate my 70th birthday. What a pleasurable dining experience. The food was extremely tasteful and the service impeccable. It is so nice to dine and be able to hear a conversation, something that cannot be said for many restaurants here in Birmingham. My hat...
