Plain, simple, Southern food. Great fried chicken. Great sweet tea. Great cornbread. If you like Southern home cooking, Martins is the place to go!

We stop here whenever we are in Alabama. The chicken is addictive!!! A must for lunch or takeout dinner. Don't miss it. You have to be there early for lunch as the place fills up early.

Volume. That's the name of the game here. It is not a big place, so to make the most money, they have to get you in, get you fed, and get you out so the next idiot in line can follow you down the same path. The sacrifice here is the service. Because of the whirlwind turnover, there is no... More

If you want to taste some of the best fried chicken and southern cooking, this is the place to go. It normally stays wrapped up, especially at lunch. So you may want to try early or late lunch. just not 12:00 pm. There is a line. Also, some of the best banana pudding you ever tasted. It is located off... More

We are not fried chicken eaters but had read that this place had the best so if you're gonna eat fried chicken, why not here, Right? Wrong- Well it's a dingy place with dirty carpeting. First round of cornbread was horrible and next batch was a tad better but not what I'd call good. Fried chicken was moist on inside... More

Wanted a down home fried chicken dinner. Disappointed and left hungry . Cornbread could be a hammer and the chicken was cool inside , so not fried to order. A definite skip!

Folks, if you enjoy down home cooking; greens, limas, catfish, pork chops, fried chicken, homemade pie, and the like, and you like your portions generous, then everyday at Martin's feels like being at mama's house for Thanksgiving. Everything (including the pies) is made fresh daily on site. Servers are friendly and efficient. An extremely affordable and family friendly.

Martin's is a classic destination for traditional Southern cooking in Montgomery. When your waitress brings a basket of cornbread that's this delicious, you know you're in for a treat. Sometimes the wait for your food can be a little long when they're crowded, but it's well worth it. They're crowded because the food is so excellent! I also like Martin's... More
