Went for the first time Sat, Aug 2nd. Chandeliers all dusty, HVAC dusty, 2.5 inch roach (mascot?) going table to table...I dispatched it when it came to our table. Waitress was just disturbed as us. She picked it up and I'm sure there was a burial at sea. I had blueberry pancakes and country fired potatoes. I would say "fried"... More

We've eaten at Shashy's twice now. The first time I had the spinach salad with accompaniments. It was good, but unremarkable. The second time, I had the silver dollar lunch special, which had a bacon/fried green tomato and a roast beef slider. Both were very good. These sliders came with a seafood gumbo, which was good. We've also had desserts...coconut... More

Went for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Very busy at 9, but no problem getting seated. Ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes Eggs Benedict (there are 3-4 kinds of Eggs Benedict) and it was OK....the tomatoes were not crispy, kind of soggy but the eggs were fine. The home fries were big chunks of potato. Also ordered cinnamon rolls, those are... More

Saturday morning brunch is the only time I go to Shashy's. LOVE IT. The first time we went was over a year ago- clearly we were sat with a new server- she got everything wrong. But the food was so good we came back the next Saturday. Week by week our server improved- three weeks in and we were getting... More

A great choice of daily specials and standbys. Chicken salad and pimiento cheese are excellent. Bakery inside and items are fresh-baked on Thursdays and Sundays. Have enjoyed every meal I ever had here. Excellent service, quick in and out, coffee always hot and a great brew. Go.

First time here, I arrived at around 10:30 am, in between client visits. I went alone. One or two other customers there. I was told there would be a wait before I could order, which was not a big deal since I had some work to do anyway. Service after that was fine. I ordered a plate that came with... More

This place has it all and was so jam packed on Saturday morning when we popped in we simply ordered a few short bakery goods and resolved to come back a few days later. They had the equivalant of a hostess ding dong that simply BLEW ME AWAY!! It tasted so devilishly decadent. The petiet fours were great and even... More

we ordered a cake from here for a baby shower...we could barely cut thru it...it was so dense...something went very, very wrong...it was extremely dry...such a shame for a cake from a bakery...walmart wouldve been better and cheaper :(
