If you're looking for authentic southern cooking-go no further than Mrs. B's. One of the best soul food restaurants I've even been to. The prices are great and the food is out of this world! BTW, this isn't for those looking to cut out butter, calories, fat, or *gasp*--dieting!

This w as our first time there and perhaps our experience is related to that we showed up within 30 minutes of closing. I ordered the ribs and they were a little on the dry/burnt side on the bottom. The corn bread was good. You are given two more sides with this meal and they were OK. I thought the... More

This is a small local no frills café, in an old established neighborhood near an Air Force Base. There is a limited selection of items and sides to choose from. I did not see any items or costs listed, I had to ask how this works. I was told you select your main meat and two sides but I didn't... More

Went for lunch with husband. Good southern home cooking for sure! My husband loves Mrs Bs and recommended we go. The food is very good. They have both healthy and unhealthy options which is what I liked. For some reason I feel like the food could have been a little more fresh, but maybe we got the end of the... More

We specifically went to Mrs. B's for Sunday lunch because of the favorable reviews. It certainly was off the beaten path and in an older neighborhood as one reviewer stated, but that was not a problem. Despite it being Sunday lunch and only 1:30 p.m., they were out of some of the entrees and vegetables. Two of the entrees were... More

Off the beaten path in older neighborhood, I did a bit of a double take but saw many business people going in and out. A charming little place. A nice set-up where you go thru a line and make your selections. I had meatloaf , corn, cabbage all of which was very good. Hubby had fried chix and loved it.... More

We have visited the South from Australia and I was on a mission to find true, Southern fried chicken. I was hesitant to try this place since people on Tripadvisor had suggested that it's located in a bad neighborhood. I'm so glad we didn't miss it. It is in a tired neighborhood but it's on a main road with plenty... More

A co-worker and I were in Montgomery for business and I checked TripAdvisor ( like I always do) to find a new and interesting place to have lunch. We chose Mrs. B's based on the reviews and we were not disappointed. Don't be concerned about the way that the house looks or the neighborhood that it is located in. Oh,... More

We chose Mrs B's based on the TripAdvisor comments and we were in for a treat. Firstly, this is not just a cafe, I think it is like a simple Southern home and we are privileged to be invited. It is not located in the town or city, it really is a home that is serving up some great food.... More

I have never had anything bad here! When ever we come to town we always make a point to eat here. The baked chicken and dressing with macaroni and collard greens are by far my favorite!
