Very convenient to several hotels downtown. Food was average to good. Was so excited for shrimp and grits. Didn't compare well to other times I've had it elsewhere. Poor wine list. We'll spend the money somewhere else next time. Ending on a positive note, service was good.

Our family ate there while seeing the sights of down town. We sat on the outside and got to see the nightlife while eating. The service was great and so were the oysters. The rest of our meal was fairly good to. It was not on the cheap side as 3 meals ran us about 85 dollars, but I would... More

This is pretty good food for a chain place. I have always enjoyed the original in Mobile, but this is the first time trying one somewhere else besides there. Not bad being so far from the water. We started with fried pickles which were just right. I had the fried shrimp po-boy. It was great, and LOADED with shrimp. My... More

Friendly staff, great catfish, can eat outdoors and good location - near river walk and several hotels.

The food is good. Apparently the flies think the same thing. Oh well, I'm from the country, so not a big deal. I just have to keep fanning my food. Next time I'll just eat outside

My wife and I had dinner here recently. Overall, not bad, but not good, just average. Ambiance: Decorated with "catchy" quotes and "decorator tacky seafood house". Service: Pleasant, but SLOW Food: Dozen raw oysters were fair. Some were very good, while others seemed dry and old. My wife had the bacon-wrapped shrimp, which were very good, fresh, hot, and tasty.... More

That's all I can say. The sandwich was awesome. The margaritas were great. The gumbo was good. Loved it!!!

Great night all around; sat outside on a cool summer night, waitress was incredible, buffalo shrimp are a must, then the redfish with shrimp topper - excellent. Would highly recommend

Wintzell's is a good place to get a meal downtown. It is near the convention center, river walk park and the ball field. We had a nice tasty meal.

This place was in my rear view as I explored downtown Montgomery. But something about the location and aroma called me back! The location, decor and menu were EXACTLY what I was looking for in partaking seafood from Alabama! My server, "The" Ray (his name tag built from playing with the DYMO label maker!) was awesome. He provided great recommendations... More
