The seafood at Wintzell's is pretty decent. I recommend the seafood platter or the green sald with shrimp and fish. Both are excellent choices, with loads of flavor. Nice location in the heart of Downtown Montgomery. Service is decent.

I got the bacon wrapped shrimp, collard greens and grits. Everything was good but nothing wow'd me. The atmosphere was good; sat outside and people-watched the downtown traffic. The best part was our waitress, Sunny. Very charming, very attentive, and had the wit to keep my party in stitches. The place is worth a try.

Heart of Downtown Montgomery--best food at a Wintzells, I have tried several. Fish tasted fresh not frozen.

I've eaten at Wintzell's several times and each time I have had a great meal. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes seafood.

The appetizers are excellent especially the fried green tomatoes and gumbo. Have visited this Wintzell's, Saraland Wintzell's and the downtown Mobile Wintzell's and find them all an excellent choice a seafood treat.

When Wintzell's first opened, I was SO overjoyed, as I had tasted their delicious food in Mobile on occassion. The first few times I went, it lived up to its reputation. Their gumbo is great! Fried and raw oysters were great! Last few times I've been there, fried oysters were the size of the end of my thumb (embarrassing) and... More

Great quirky atmosphere. My husband and I got drinks from the bar and fried green tomatoes with an amazing sauce (on the side).... What an amazing appetizer! We got a table for our group of six and two people got the shrimp and grits, both ended up eating it all! I got fried okra (not greasy surprisingly) and a blue... More

Really did not expect this good of a meal. Started with fried green tomatoes with a crawfish sauce thats delectable. Fried fish and shrimp were not greasy and perfectly cooked ...the tartar sauce was a great accompaniment. Peanut butter pie and key lime were a wonderful finish.
