Jim and Nicks. This place had a tremendous reputation supposedly was recently voted one of the 10 best barbecue places in the country. It was ok but I would not rate it to that extreme in large part because we were disappointed in the sauce because it was much more tomato base then we would prefer for a barbecue sauce.... More

Jim n Nick's always provides a great experience. The food is always excellent. They bring cheese biscuits to the table to start the meal and it hard to stop eating them. I also like that they have healthier options. A BBQ restaurant that offers whole wheat buns is rare, but they do it. Although it is a small chain, they... More

My wife and I ate lunch here because we're big fans of Jim and Nicks generally. This location is on par with all the others. I would tell you that anyone who doesn't like their BBQ probably doesn't know what good BBQ is. The food is WAY better than a "chain hamburger restaurant," as someone averred, and the banana pudding... More

Too many great BBQ restaurants in the area. This one is like ordering BBQ from a chain hamburger joint!! Sweet tea was great. Service was great as well as the atmosphere. The reason to go here is to eat great BBQ, right? Well, BBQ here is way overrated. If that was true BBQ I had then I must not have... More

I realized before arriving that this is a regional chain, and that was fine. I'll also preface this by saying that I was visiting Alabama from "up north' where, arguably, we don't know how to do BBQ. So that being said.... started off with the complimentary cheddar biscuits. Fantastic. Not 2-3 minutes later my food came. this is what concerned... More

OMG! They start you off with the best mini chedder biscuits ever! I could eat a dozen of those! Ordered the 2 meat combination with chicken and vinegar and spiced pulled pork. Both were very tasteful and moist. Baked beans were very good and not over sweet. Potato salad had good flavor, but I like mine on the more chunky... More

We were driving from New Orleans to Atlanta, looking for a good BBQ place to have dinner, and after consulting the TripAdvisor app, pulled into Jim 'N Nick's BBQ. Even though it was almost 9 pm on a Tue night, the place was still lively, and we were warmly welcomed. I had their special Sweet Tea - very nice! -... More

This place is a must for me, each time I stop into Montgomery! There corn bread muffins are so yummy and taste like cake! The turkey I ordered was so moist! The staff is great and the food is good! They do offer a military discount!

We waited 20 minutes even though there were numerous open tables. When we finally got to a table we were told they were out if ribs. If we had known that we wouldn't have waited. We ordered our drinks and asked for lemon for our tea. We asked 4 times for lemon. Finally we asked another server. We asked for... More

I have eaten at Jim N Nick's Bar-B-Que locations in Destin and Niceville, Florida, as well as Trusssville and Gardendale, Alabama. Having found them to be consistent, I was happy to see that they have a restaurant in Montgomery conveniently located off I-85. Traveling north on a Sunday, we stopped by for lunch and was not disappointed. Despite being very... More
