Our dining group was in town for a large convention. We were staying downtown in a very nearby location. For this reason, it was very nice to be able to walk to our dinner. I called several days in advance for a reservation which was a wise choice. We arrived to find our table the only table in the restaurant... More

Baby green salad with tuna tataki was good, but not much flavor to the tuna. Large piece of salmon on the sandwich, but the mango salsa was more like purée. They ran out of the soup special early on, but continued to advertise it. The "courtyard" atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. However, friendly staff, good service.

The Royal Scam is a bit pricey, but the food is fantastic. Try the seafood gumbo. I had it four or five times in two weeks. That's how good it was! It can get very busy at lunchtime but isn't too crowded in the evening. It's on the same block as the Hampton Inn, so if you're staying there, it's... More

The food is usually very good or good but it can get a little boring for those of us who visit often. Fish dishes rock

Food portions are very small, but what you get is very tasty. Ate here twice, while in town for a convention. First night the service was adequate, although the wife had to send her filet steak back to be cooked more. The second night an older gray hair woman was our server, and the service was terrible. The place had... More
